So your attempt to "win" the state isn't as important as the two senators winning their runoff, but somehow a fourth recount will magically help them win?

That's some seriously delusional shiat.

Is that a "MUST" as in "What goes up MUST come down?" or more like "Employees MUST wash hands..." ?

This is definitely one of those cases where I'm really glad Trump is so incompetent. As bad for democracy as Trump's lies about the election have been, (and they've been very bad, no question,) his efforts to undermine the election have largely consisted of peddling lots of bullshiat to the public, a bunch of laughable lawsuits, and half-assed attempts to strong-arm people in the certification process into throwing out the count by making his base mad at them.

Right now it looks like Trump doesn't have enough people willing to stab democracy in the face overtly to manufacture a win. Still, I can't help thinking that an actual 3-d chessmaster scheming authoritarian who'd lined up his pieces for such a moment could've probably pulled this off, and that's kind of terrifying.

Pray away the Democrats!

I'm pretty sure they verified the signatures before any of the counting of the ballots.  And probably once that was verified, the ballots were then separated from their signatures, and it would be impossible to re-attach them.

It's not a recount he wants.  He is looking for the impossible to be done.  For privacy reasons after a signature is checked the ballot is separated from it's outer shell with the signature and then counted separately.

So basically he asking people to say "oh, that's impossible, they're separated and now you'll never be able to match them."

At which point it's:

Well we should throw every single ballot out, because if you can't match a signature to a ballot who knows if those ballots are real and weren't substituted.

-----------

They sure as hell didn't care about this shiat in florida where they do the same thing, including to his ballot.  They didn't care before election because it's the same process that has been used for mail in voting since the advent of the outer shell with signature.

This is basic laches bullshiat and will not fly in court.  The admin, state legislatures, or even congress had years to have a problem with this, they could have and should have raised this issue way before election, not after you don't like the results.

It's been explained several times to the morons wanting yet another recount.

The signatures are verified twice, before the ballots are separated from the envelopes.
Once that separation takes place, it's impossible to signature match them again.

I am 50% sure he knows this, but it keeps conspiracy/deep state conversations going amongst the rubes.

The other 50% part of me is certain that he is delusional, but betting someone around him is counting on the same. Gotta keep them checks rolling and send the hounds to attack someone.

As required by Georgia law, which requires voting to be conducted by secret ballot. You cannot, by law, have any way to tie the ballot to the vote.

Which is why the double envelope scheme for mail-in ballots. They verify you as a voter with the information from the outer envelope. They then open the envelope, put the inner envelope into the "to be counted" file and store the outer envelope as proof you voted.

Later, they open the inner envelopes, which have no means of tying the ballot to the voter, and count the votes.

In person, they verify you, then hand you a ballot. You vote and place the ballot in the box. Again, no way to tie you to a given ballot.

There's no way he'll be forcibly removed from the WH as people are hoping for.
He'll just stop showing up. It's not like they have a lot of personal items to take with them other than clothes and Barron's gaming consoles, but I'm sure Melania will be tasked to get those things in order. "MELANIA! WE'RE OUT OF HERE TOMORROW!!"
When have they ever had to vacate due to someone else moving in? This is a first for them.

I could see a few weeks into Feb that the Bidens leave a few cardboard boxes on the steps for them to pick up.

2020-12-03 12:42:21 PM
Oh, and note the long con is to get tied ballots. This lets you do a few things.

1) Business owners tell you "Vote GOP or you're fired" and with tied ballots they can prove you did or did not
2) Easier to challenge ballots from "those people" if you know who the vote is. "Oh, that Yolanda voter is clearly fake."
3) Easier to stuff ballots because you know who has voted, so you can fake ballots for those who haven't without risk of being caught out by having a voter appear twice.
4) Simple pay-for-votes, when they verify you've voted as they wish, they pay you.

I get where you're coming from with this; it feels like we skated perilously close to the edge of some abyss. And I don't want to discount the possibility we could face some even crazier shiat in future; authoritarians gonna authoritate.

But there's something that all caudillos, dictators, authoritarian strongmen and other species of asscrack refuse all share, from Mussolini on.

They're all farking incompetent. They're incel dorks with flags peddling snake oil solutions to problems that (mostly) don't exist. They're in thrall to insane visions of unreality. I can't think of a single one for whom their whole schmear did t go - and often enough, end -spectacularly badly.

They're not incompetent because they're authoritarian. They're authoritarian precisely and solely because they're farking incompetent.

Try not to forget it. 👊🏽

Mussolini was actually pretty competent in the beggining.  He was able to consolidate power from a monarchy by from the inside without a ton of bloodshed.

Even Hitler's own cabinet members didn't think he was the Aryan prince to lead them to victory, they thought it was mussolini.

2020-12-03 12:50:10 PM
I think they should do a full signature verification recheck. Trump supporters can pay for it, people need the work right now, and the result won't be overturned. On top of that we get to extend Trumps losing streak. How can anyone be against this?
