I was in Florida last month (medical emergency) and next to our hotel was a Cracker Barrel. One morning about 20 Harleys rolled into the parking lot, not a helmet among them, and everyone aged 65-80.

This was the most Florida thing I had ever seen, and I grew up there.

There's so much left over there will still be some to eat 300 years from now.

The company said preliminary comparable-store restaurant sales and comparable-store retail sales so far in the second quarter have both fallen about 20% from a year ago.
Profit at Cracker Barrel rose to $170.7 million, up from $43.2 million a year ago. Earnings were $7.18 a share, up from $1.79 a share. Adjusted earnings of 69 cents a share beat Wall Street's estimate of 36 cents a share.

I am not going to a restaurant during a pandemic let alone one full of crackers. It is actually not a bad alternative to fast food for interstate meals for a few bucks more.

Just think how much profit if their sales were down even more!
WHA???   Wonder what else is at play here.  Did they sell something valuable?  Dump some gold or bitcoin?

Around 15 years ago one opened up near our house.  It actually had good food.  Chicken fried steak with country gravy tasted really good.   Then something happened and it now tastes like old people bland food that was microwaved.   I think i can guess when the were taken over by some wall street firm.

Even the all day breakfast is not-so-good anymore.

A local joint opened up a few blocks from them, with pretty much the same concept and is 100x better.

Doesn't help that they seem to have cut costs on ingredient quality since the pandemic started.

Cracker Barrel started going downhill a few years ago when Brad's wife was fired on his birthday.

Dangit!

I actually looked to see if I could get FO3 from the PS store for my PS4. Unfortunately it is only available via that network play and that is not for me.

/I just may have to go get me a real tv dinner and relive my childhood

FWIW, I'm doing New Vegas on that sony playwhatever network now - got the year's access on sale for $40.
FO3 is next.
Hate to admit it, but it's not too bad.
