Firing Barr may finally be the one thing Trump does that both sides of the aisle would cheer.

But again, for polar opposite reasons. One side sees him as too corrupt. The other sees him as not corrupt enough for Trump.

That must be the fastest from giving a speech at a Trump function to being thrown under the bus in history.

Isn't this a misstep from Soon to be gone President Trump? Didn't AG Barr play ball and get a lot of cases either dropped or stonewalled? IG's were fired or let go with out cause. If I were Barr, I would've kept on to every single email, every note from Prez Two Scoops that he sent me and then if he did fire me release the entire thing.

Sure Barr career  is already over because he has shown himself to be corrupt, but to remind people that Trump is just as bad might derail his bid in 2024 or at least taint Trump with enough foul smelling shiat to make people not want to return his calls.

I hope Bill Barr does exactly that, with an appropriately ambiguous mandate that would include Trump's wild accusations of malfeasance as elections fraud. It certainly is.

Oh, Donald dot win is jumping back and forth from wanting to hang him in one thread to it's all 4d chess in another.

He's the biggest traitor and should be added to the "list"

To "he's just trying to lull the rino's and d's into complacency and when the spec ops teams get back from Germany after raid against CIA they're going to start arresting people because he secret inditements." In another.

And then back to "he needs to hang" after Trump or Rudy says something about him....

And then back to 4d chess where the Trump administration is just "trying" to make it look like there is discord in admin and they're turning on eachother and then they'll SPRING their trap and get everyone.

Its farking nuts.

These people....  need some re-education

This isn't shredding his dignity.  Barr has long thought the power of the president should be more absolute.  This was the culmination of years of his theory.

He didn't have dignity to begin with.  He has been on an authoritarian bent for a while.  He was just muzzled under Bush and hinted at it, and then after Bush he wrote many opinions on the power of the presidency and used the constitution to back up his claims.

Dude was a nutter.

Still getting thrown under the bus after working so hard to make his dream come true, but leaving with same dignity he had before.

Nope, he is used to his demands being met now!  He has thrown a wrench into the republican long game that was going pretty damn well for them because of it.

Hopefully it actually breaks a spoke instead of only being a minor hiccup for them.

I really should have that graphic of the cycle of working for the Trump admin, where the guy is coming in shaking hands all happy then getting stabbed in the back on his way out.

Anyway, Barr has reached "Getting stabbed in the back" phase of that graphic.

You can never be loyal enough for Trump, and that loyalty is never rewarded.

Still, no lack of people will to try and be the exception to the rule.

So he thought the president should be exactly like a king/emperor/tyrant, answering to absolutely no one and with the power to do whatever he wanted? Did he never stop to think what that could do to him, especially with someone like Trump who only cares about people in regards to money and worship and who throws away anyone and everyone that he tires of or gets whiny about? Or did he seriously believe that he would always be the favored child of the ruler?

They sure love that "lulling your enemies into complacency" narrative. It's a great way to excuse the fact that the Trump misadministration can't seem to get much done.
