Actually, probably. Hell, at this point, the kids are probably drinking just to deal with their parents.

When I was at Ohio State, at football games, we'd use wine botas filled the liquor of our choice. Fit nicely via sling under one's arm, under a sweatshirt or jacket. Of course, this was waaaay before 9/11. Now you get finger farked going into the stadium and would probably serve hard time if they caught you with booze.

/ If I was rich enough, I could afford tickets and try to find out

Lastly, we used that exact plan to sneak a farkload of booze into a pool party where they were doing bag checks to keep out booze you didn't by from the bars they had set up there. What's a farkload? Two mini fridges full of beer, about 15 full size liquor bottles & assorted smaller ones (and weed too).

This. The article is B.S., flasks are for concealing booze in public. Like a funeral or baseball game, not chilling at home.

Also, they never went out of style.

I don't want to mislead you. Well, I don't want to mislead you on this. There are plenty of other things I'd like to mislead you on. Like how hawt I am. But here's the excerpt from the article:

"Flask sales are up 505 percent year over year!" said Anthony Barzilay Freund, the editorial director at 1stdibs.com, with frank astonishment, when I asked. "Of course, we don't tend to sell many flasks to begin with," he said. "But since the pandemic began we've sold 36 flasks, which is up 385 percent from last year." So far, the biggest sale was a pair of English porcelain "moon" flasks made by Minton in around 1880 (listed at $38,250).

Well, you know, it's always the hero who is about to die that pulls a flask out of nowhere, takes a huge swig, and then says something profound. Long pause. Guy who he recited his monologue salutes him, and then our hero drives off into saving the day through personal sacrifice.

That's why you need a flask.

I am thinking of that person a lot! Imagine this person finds a rusty metal flask engraved with a love note at what must have been great expense, imagines that it must have been a great romance, and spends months tracking down the man and the woman.  Finally, an old woman is located, and this person travels to meet her and return what was clearly a lost, treasured possession...

"That fark tried to talk me into dropping out of college to marry him, then accused me of cheating on him because how dare I decide that I more to live for than his stupid a$$!! I spent years thinking of how to dispose of that flask with all that information written on it, and you brought it back!"

/Admittedly dramatic, but it is how I imagine it would go. X-D
