In the 90's there was a BBS called Anarchy Road. The sysopt went by Toecutter. That was about the same time I first saw Mad Max.

Toecutter would be a great Halloween mask.

If you listen to him talk in Mad Max, he uses a slightly different accent for every line he said.  In the original Australian dialogue track, not the stupid overdub.

It was brilliant. Each interaction with a character was like another character.

Not brilliant. He was a Brit that just arrived in Australia and was trying to sound local.

Witness him!

It's nice that he was able to play that role in Mad max and then all those years later play a part in Fury Road.

Good for him. And 73 is too young to go.

Reading the link it sounds like there's a Furiosa prequel actually happening. Without Charlize Theron.

I'm betting it gets stuck in development hell again, which is a real shame.

No, probably because he was an actor, and could do voices, like most actors.

By a couple years, I suppose. Just going by his appearances in Fury Road and Farscape, he had 50 extra pounds on him.

Oh shiat, I had no idea he was the guy from the original Mad Max. That's kinda cool. Too bad Toecutter got killed in the first one, otherwise they could have added a connection in for him as an Easter Egg.

You really think that Mad Max was so high brow that they wanted to mix up the accents on a single character in order for Mel Gibson to puzzle over what kind of history his adversary had?

Or that the only actor that sounded British was having trouble remembering how much Australian to inflect?

I don't know. It makes sense now that I learned of it, but I just didn't notice when I watched Fury Road. Though to be honest, I was never a huge fan of the Mad Max movies. I really like Fury Road and have it saved on my Firestick.
