Until it's piloted by an angsty half-Canadian half-Japanese teen, it'll never be real to me.

When it breaks because it's too heavy for its foundation they can just slap a strobe light on it to give the impression it can move for the next 14 years.

I watched a lot of various Gundam series but I just now got around to watching the original series from '79 for some reason.  That Amaro can be annoying af.

I like that the OYW actually affects him, that he resents the shiat out of his increasing skill with the Gundam and what it's doing to him, and that his momentary desertion isn't just immediately handwaved. I also like that once he does get his shiat together the damage doesn't just go away or even stop piling up, and that by the time he shows up in Zeta he's all too willing to comply with the bullshiat House Arrest the EFF puts him under because it's easier than confronting and dealing with what he had to do. It just felt surprisingly realistic for a show about goofy "real" giant robots doing giant robot shiat from the late 70s/early 80s. Dude ended up being one of my favorite characters in just about damn near anything.

That's why most people cheered when the Bright Slap happened.

Fully operational? That was pretty underwhelming. And now that it's out of its box it's not even mint.

FTFY. Tallgeese is best geese. Weird because most of Wing's gundams were honestly pretty bland designs until they got Version Ka.'ed

I had that one. It's still my favorite Christmas present I ever got as a kid. My brother got Gaiking.
I had the later version with the non-removable jet.
