All the articles I've seen of cat trackers with GPS show two significant behaviors.

1) They generally stick around their home, in a kind of brownian motion.
2) Except when they strike out on a beeline for someplace that's a half-mile away, and then come straight back again.

Or maybe getting them from a friendly neighbor?  Don't have to have a cat to buy them treats.
