In which the word "Marxist" is used to describe capitalists concerned with identity politics. To quote Orwell, "Since you don't know what Fascism is, how can you struggle against Fascism?"

Ah yes the famous capitalist Marxists

And to think this idjit is part of the law making part of our nation.  Words can have multiple meanings, and sometimes they are even their own opposites.

For heaven's sake, man, buy a dictionary or get the Merriam Webster app on your phone.

Plus if dickweed Hawley ever read a book, he might learn that corporatists are fascists, essentially.  Corporatist is an archaic term, I think.

This brainfart brought to you by the same people screaming about the fascist anti-fascists and their organized anarchy.

That's something a National Socialist WOULD say.

On behalf of the urban parts of Missouri, I'd like apologize.

And, in our defense, I'd like to point out that neither of our senators live anywhere near Missouri.  They just use us as a mail-drop while living with those commie East Coast elitists.

That don't make no sense.

2020-11-30 9:54:35 PM
Biden could choose the worst of Trump's and Bush II's cabinets and this jackhole would still say that. Although the corporatist part would be true in that case.

Fear-mongering. That's all they've got, and sadly, that's all they need.

God damnit. We're never getting that word back, and people are gonna keep taking the wrong message from that stupid Mussolini quote.

Smearing themselves with Frank's Red Hot and screaming like a baboon in estrus while hanging naked from a palmetto would convey the same feelings.

Republicans, as always, show they dont know anything about anything, especially not politics.

There really should be a mandatory knowledge test before you can run for office. Farking idiots like this mofo and probably 90%+ of republicans would never be able to run.

And a majority of them are flat out wrong.  Dude working for one of the largest banks in the country?  Yeah, he has no interest in democratic socialist policy, aka communism as they like to call it.  Isnt interested in changing how banks operate and putting out new regs.  Just like the Obama admin...  those Citibank guys really stuck it to the banks... right?

I thought it was just to convey hot air and occasionally words just kind of fall out in no particular order along the way.

As I have said before, the Trump era has done more damage to the Ivy League's reputation than any other event in history.

Whether it's abject dishonesty, or genuine stupidity, it doesn't matter. Neither is an attractive attribute.

Probably would fall apart in the courts.
There was a statewide law in Georgia that required a drug test of anyone running for office. Supreme Court slapped it down on 1st amendment grounds. You can be drug tested for playing high school football, though.

If you read stuff like this, or peruse someplace like Free Republic, you learn that words don't really have a lot of meaning to these people. Just like "socialism", these people have a list of words that they consider as being "bad", and anyone they hate has to be those things. And not just some of them - they have to be all of them, even if they are contradictory.

It's why Obama could be a Satanic Muslim Atheist who attended Rev. Wright's Christian church, as well as a Marxist Socialist Corporatist Fascist Globalist. The words don't mean anything to them. They are just all synonyms for "we hate this person, therefore they are all these bad things we don't understand".

They'd call any mainstream-generated poli-sci or American political history part of that test biased because it wouldn't sufficiently jerk off Reagan or treat their various dumb opinions as fact.

You'd also see a lot of them who're "asking if I understand something is the same as supporting said something" morons of the sort who complain about relatively tame shiat on school curricula because they think teaching something means advocating it, so they'd get bent out of shape if you asked them some neutral questions about what Marxism is.

Of course, both of those things might be features for such a test.

Then again, their leaders would probably just do the thing creationists do when they can't get their kids into nutjob private schools, and tell them to learn the material for the test but to rest assured it's all lies and that the faster they forget it, the better.

He never said they were capitalist Marxists.
He said they were corporatists, ones that spouted Marxist platitutdes while actually selling out the working class for profit.
As much of an asshole as he is, that particular statement is not an incorrect assessment of the Wall Street Dems.

First off, there cannot be corporatist marxists.

Second off, so what if they were? Who the fark would care? There is no Marxism in their jobs, and even if there were, who cares?

Hawley is playing coy. "Corporatist", like "globalist," is the new GOP code word for Teh Jooz.

Um what's the difference between a capitalist and a corporatist? It's all about private ownership of the means of production and the goal of accumulation of wealth. None of that is Marxist- except in his critique of capitalism and corporatists.
