Why not just reschedule it for Thursday so it replaces the Ravens game that got bumped to make way for this game? Fox already bumped their Thursday night game due to all the shenanigans

Just make the Ravens forfeit. It's what they deserve and there's no reason to risk them infecting another team that might win something.

Has to do with being able to field a full team.  Broncos were able to do that, though they had no QB's.  As long as they have 53 players, I believe the game goes on.  The Ravens don't.

Or so I've been told.

So did the Broncos, and they're going to be punished/fined.  Their backup QB's didn't wear masks when necessary.

Should have just played the game on time to fark the Ravens; but I agree on the fine (but bigger) and the draft choices.  Want them to play the game because the What the F..ks play the Steelers on Sunday and need the Steelers to be slowed down and sore (probably won't make a difference).

Ravens violated protocols too. A coach going maskless and not wearing his trackers is what kicked off this whole mess. It all comes down to ratings. Steelers-Ravens is a game with playoff implications and featuring a major rivalry. Broncos are not in playoff contention and have no rivalry with the Saints.

Someone was trying to convince me that the league has done a great job because there haven't been any cancelled games.

But when the league position is that nothing will make them cancel a game, it's a bit hard to take that seriously

Apparently the delay is because the Ravens threatened to strike because the Ravens players do not want to play until there have been two days in a row without positive tests. At this rate, it would be simpler to forfeit.

Four more players tested positive today.  It's f*cking ludicrous at this point.

Wow if they are still getting that many positives, I wouldn't bet on that game happening this week, let alone on Wednesday. This is a case where the hammer should fall down hard. This was a fark-up by the Ravens organization not following Covid protocols, endangering everyone's health. The coach responsible should be fired and banned from working in the NFL.

They came down on the Saints like a ton of bricks for a far less egregious violation.

If it were me, I'd go further and demand a fine that's at least eight digits, bar them from next year's draft and bar them from playing until they get their sh*t together; any remaining games would be declared forfeit.

Former Ravens fan here who feels very unkind towards the NFL in general and Ravens fans in particular. So I want to see bad things happen to the team. All that said, my understanding is that the NFL's policy is to reschedule due to uncontained outbreaks, but not due toissing players. The Ravens outbreak may be ongoing and the league won't play the game until it's arrested. The Broncos game was played because the outbreak had been contained.

I have no idea, maybe I'll find out from the 11pm news. My only guess is, since network tv's show's season premiers (or new season shows that have recently started), NBC doesn't want to preempt their evening lineup. I think Wednesday is all those Chicago shows.

This season was just a joke from the start, anyone who put high stakes on it was silly. The only reason I'm paying a little attention is because the Steelers looked to have close to an all-time defense and could be a problem. And now I'm mad that the NFL farked this up because the Steelers have a ridiculous (not all-time, maybe next year) defense and are a big problem.

Send the good players from the Ravens to Cleveland and make them stay at league minimum for five years, send the scraps from both teams back to Baltimore and assign Hue Jackson to be their head coach for five years.  Baltimore gets the team they deserve, and the good players are punished by being stuck in Ohio for five years.  Cleveland gets their perennial QB controversy as well for extra credit.

The Broncos accepted their punishment and directed their anger at the QBs for putting them in the situation.  I thoroughly admire them for it.   They deserve kudos for taking it like men.

I'm not surprised the Ravens are being petulant toddlers about the whole thing.
