Bears can eat and digest almost anything they can swallow. While camping in the Rockies, a bear intruder opened my car and got into the ExLax. Ate the whole box. Poor thing.

"Harvested" rather than just killed for the fun of killing? Nobody eats bear meat anymore and there is not a big market for bear skins.

Oh yeah, Traditional Chinese Medicine thinks bear bile and bear paws are magical. So when the bear is cut open to remove its gall bladder I guess the guide can also take intestine samples.
