We are turning our yard into a bird, hummingbird, butterfly area.  I won't say sanctuary, because of the neighborhood cats.  We do have the feeders high enough to not be a problem and the plants the hummers like best tend to have thorns.  The platform feeders tend to arrive in groups, so there's no direction a cat can creep up on them.  I've finally found a place where the squirrels can't get at the suet, so the nuthatches are free to swarm it.

And crows don't like cats or squirrels for that matter.

I once got a great hummer from this beautiful Colombian woman. Sure the gas mileage was lousy but it was still a fun car.

You have to get the engine timing reset because of the thin air.

I had a humming come to my back porch today. I felt bad because I had already taken my feeder in for the winter. If he was a more regular customer I would have know to leave it out a little longer.
