That last replay showed the blatant pull of the shirt and the studs to the head Trezuget took.

Scalp wounds are often like that. The amount of blood is wildly disproportionate to the severity of the injury.

you'd gotten a point at least

I was convinced Tottenham earned me a point and had to double-check.

Then I remembered they didn't win-win, they only Mourinho won.

My brain picked Chelsea, but my duodenum wanted Spurs to win. I should have split the difference.

bloody heck 2-2

We might see the first COVID-postponed match in the PL this weekend as Newcastle closed their training ground today and the entire 1st team is in isolation.

Unless defender on the far side is playing him on, his knee is offside

2020-11-30 4:51:12 PM
bullshiat. give me my perfect.

VARce

2020-11-30 4:51:16 PM
Looks offside to me, and that is a fine margin

2020-11-30 4:52:41 PM
dang dang close i gotta say

2020-11-30 4:52:45 PM
That is tough

2020-11-30 4:52:50 PM
these millimeter offside calls are in the rules (sometimes, not always) but so out of the spirit of the game

2020-11-30 4:54:11 PM
That dude is having a very bad day, missing the PK and just inches offside for a hopeful equalizer.

Best match of the weekend

Bad luck, Villains.

Definitely.  Lots of drama and noise full of sound and fury, and signifying nothing.

I agree. Offside reviews need to come under the same terms as other VAR decisions: no falsely-precise lines on the screen, and if its not clear and obvious, advantage goes to the attacker.

I'm more interested that 5.1% had 4-0?
What were they thinking.

it's not like 150 years ago when parking offside was what they were trying to prevent

AC: Valhalla taught me a cool term: deontology - when the observation of rules is following of forms rather than for the original intended purpose.  When the what becomes more important than the why.
