Goad them into betting their life savings on it.  Encourage them to give their money to "true the vote" or whatever, so when the conspiracy theory doesn't come true, they endure actual painful consequences.  This will make them re-think their belief system.

Unfortunately, the mark is the last person to believe in the con. The more money they lose, the stronger the need to believe.

I remember one time, my dad said "I'd read that Justice Scalia was killed in his sleep by a 13 year old sex slave." Fortunately, he's not so far gone that he immediately realized how stupid that sounded when I gave him a quizzical stare.

Best way to do it is to show them they are wrong. They'll get a bit flustered and may react with anger. But really tearing down their belief system is the only way to do it. Their belief system was torn down which turned them into conspiracy theorists to begin with. So it is possible.

You cannot reason someone out of a place they did not reason themselves into.

I've been upping the ante post election. I've been working on my Charlie Day routine where I start with Space Force and circle back to "...Aliens."

The Utah monolith they found last week is totally going into my bit.

No, that would just make them more deeply committed to them.

Are we talking conspiracy theories like Russian Collusion, "there are good Nazis" or "drink bleach"?

Hell it will.  True believers don't work like that.  Sorry, but they do not.  Mere reality doesn't stop them.

/otherwise televangelist would be an actively suicidal undertaking
//instead it's nearly peak grift
