He should be.

'Trump could be held criminally liable' is the most common, and unlikely to happen phrase, this year.

Probably next year too.

I'm still not clear on the use of the word "defend" here. He's the one filing all the suits.

2020-11-29 4:37:29 PM
And?

2020-11-29 4:40:48 PM
He was impeached too.

He does know he can't pardon himself after January 20th .... right???

This is what I think he will try to pull.

Add it to the pile. Which does seem to be Donnie's real legal strategy: he's done SO much that is illegal, from fundraising to how he's used and bullied government staff, to outright fraud, and lining his own pockets for fun and profit from the Secret Service and a ton of other agencies, that if anyone wants to come at him, they're going to have to sift through thousands upon thousands of crimes, at which point, the defense will be, "So you want to come at us for this? But not that? If both are illegal, why aren't you coming at me with that too? Do you even HAVE a case?"

A complicit Congress made it extraordinarily hard to go after Donnie, because they straight up ignored ethics and funding violations from the get go.

Technically, it's the campaign not Trump, right?  Plausible deniability once again.

I hope Donny lives long enough for them to remove his name from everyone of his foreclosed properties.

I liked the part about "donors having to pick at the carcass" in regards to these idiots likely seeing, if anything, presumably pennies on the dollar returned.

Bunch of f*cking idiots.

So another crime that won't be punished?

Whatever.

I'm still waiting for the campaign to get sued for wrongful death over holding rallies in defiance of local Covid restrictions.

No it isn't
A fool and his/her money ...

It's not Trump's fault he is delusional and his supporters are illiterate.

He totally sold his soul to the Christian Devil, didn't he?

How else could one person walk away unscathed from every disaster heaped upon him, many in the past four years, on thr World stage?

Everyone in the World, except for republicans and dipshiats abroad, hates him. How does he even get up in the morning?

Meh. At least the rubes' money isn't going to actually helping the GOP cause. I consider this a net plus for our side.

MeidasTouch legal analyst @mspopok says Trump could be held criminally liable for soliciting donations

Yes, he could be...but won't.

2020-11-29 9:10:32 PM
Did I hear that he announced his 2024 campaign today on TV? How is that not a concession?

2020-11-29 9:10:45 PM
I can't imagine people donating money would in itself be illegal, no matter the reason. It would just be a 'gift' in the eyes of the IRS, and not a tax deductible contribution to a nonprofit. Going to be a lot of Trumpers getting audited next year one has a feeling.

2020-11-29 9:11:12 PM
Grifting conservatives is a misdemeanor.

Trump may have broke the law again?

Laws?

More like guidelines if 4 years of Trump has taught us anything.

Just the ones who donated over $8 grand.  Anything lower than that goes to his campaign debt, if you read the realllllllly fine print.

You see Trump won this election fair and square, but it's looking likely that  the dirty cheating democrats are going to steal it from him. Therefore he has to cover his bases by announcing his 2024  run. That way the Democrats won't be able to rest easy for the next for years knowing they'll have to face him again.

Until I see this motherfarker charged, tried, convicted, imprisoned, and executed, go fark yourselves with these unending jack off articles and videos and links.  Enough already.  I'm farking sick of seeing him get away with it all.

They're laws for non-Republicans.  The rest of use are still bound by them.

As long has he brings in views, ratings, and money, the media will always be focused on him.

Next year it will be "Trump was indicted" for each of those things from this year and the past few.

I got a sham-wow as a gift once. It actually worked pretty well. I mean...it was basically just a towel but it was a good towel. I feel like they have a legit beef with this guy for being lumped in with Trump.

I got a 1 week suspension for calling Jo Jorgensen a c-word.  Was worth it.

This sounds like something that could be prosecuted in State court.
