Oh, no, we didn't have a nationwide Covid superspreader event. What a catastrophe.

Maybe, just maybe, people don't need to be buying so much crap. How many TVs and Air Fryers does a household need?

I kind of want an air fryer. Do they do passable tempura? How about chicken?

Throw in the fact that tens of millions are out of work, I'm surprised it's not higher.

You know, this might just be me nitpicking, but saying you are down "by a tenth" implies that there should be some form of measurement after that, and not just be left by itself. Is it really that hard to say that they are down "by 10%" instead of leaving us to wonder what they are down by a tenth of?

Could it be flour? Maybe a 10th of a meter? Down a tenth of a quid?

I'm sure we had one.  We just didn't follow it up the next day.  Give us time, everyone who got covid won't be contagious till about Monday (great time to go back to work.  Hopefully you work from home if you have it (symptomatic or not)).

Checked the online sales.  Found one good one (32" IPS 1080 monitor at office depot), but everything else was meh.

No. Get a good toaster oven. Does the same thing and much more.

2 per room last I checked.

Does your oven already have convection?  If yes, then you don't need an air fryer.

If no, then go with the other suggestion posted already in getting a toaster oven with convection. More versatile than a stand alone air fryer.

2020  Black Friday in the US:

52% decline in store sales
26% increase in online sales, for now
A lot of online shoppers, lost their jobs

When 60% of the economy is consumer driven
And we lose half of it, we've entered a depression

And the retail wastelands must be growing too
Areas that don't have even a market store
Unlivable areas become no go zones
Welcome to 2021

Well I need another one for my bedroom.

I just got an air fryer for $50 at Costco a few weeks ago and I really like it. It does onion rings breaded with batter and panko crumbs really well, and it's also great for fixing wings and bbq chicken legs and thighs.

A toaster over might be more flexible, but for my uses the air fryer works well and is easy to clean. I also really like how it is much faster and more consistent for heating up frozen food than the oven in my apartment.

..okay..okay

Since England doesn't have a Thanksgiving, maybe the date is too arbitrary and they shouldn't bother with the concept.

Although a "Thank you God we got rid of those 13 obnoxious colonies" would be a great spiteful holiday.

I was perusing air fryers online to see what the big deal is.  It's not something I *need* but might pick one up.

I need a new knife set is what I *need*.

Have two TVs in the house, that's enough for us since there's only two of us.  Don't need one in the bedroom.

Statistics.  They can say whatever you want them to, as long as you know how to word or mis-word them.

Had air fryer chicken tonight. It's excellent. Use lousiana brand air fryer breading.

How many of you "you don't NEED that" types are also screaming at the government for another round of "stimulus"?

It sounds perfectly fine to my ear.

Britain tries to import US holidays but isn't very good at it. British Halloween is a confused mess. British Black Friday is utter chaos.

Once I went to a nightclub in London that was having a special American independence night as it was the 4th of July. They put up American flag decor. As I walked in I heard the DJ playing the American national anthem. The crowd tried their best to sing along. Of course none of them knew the words. Bless.

"Keeping up with the Jones's" is a god given right by Lady Liberty herself.

In a world of Yeti coolers and Peloton bikes, people should equate money with time.
