Well, I ran to the local 'market' and got a loaf a bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter.

About 25% of the people couldn't be bothered to wear a mask, including some employees. Eff em, I hope they go out of business.

Put up Christmas lights on the house yesterday, and of course the net lights that worked last year now have a short in them. Went to Walgreen's (dead, everyone masked) and bought replacements. That was it. There was no way I would attempt a Lowe's/Home Depot.

I went grocery shopping and the store was not crowded and there was no waiting in line to check out.

Only black friday shopping i did was a few weeks ago buying cheap dvd/blurays at Walmart. Went about 5:30am when they opened. Got all I wanted and no crowd.

Remember the old days when we had threads to guess the number of tramplings? Those were the days.

I work at one of those places and I definitely snagged a 139.00 extension ladder for 96 dollars because I needed one. Did not feel at all bad it was one of the last ones in the store either.

I put up with enough bullshiat from customers on a daily basis so they can sit and spin 🖕

All Fridays matter.

I didn't leave the house to go shopping, but I did find an online retailer having a 20% off sale on certain 3-D printer filaments.

Two whoopie pies from an antique store a block from me. Lot of people in there shopping.

I didn't go out, but the big mall in Sacramento had a couple of people shot.  Looks like 1 killed, 1 injured.

Went for a 2 hour walk.

I forgot it was Black Friday and went to WalMart, which is the closest store in my food desert. Just got groceries, a 4-pack from a local brewery, and some clear totes for organizing my new place.

Got a couple audio cables and adapters online today, final touches to connect some drum machines and synths I recently ordered.

I also dropped by my dispensary today and they had some really good deals, I guess for BlaFri. I get 500g cartridges 2 for $50, on sale for $19. Also 7g of sensi for $49. Even with taxes, the convenience and consistency makes it a great deal.

Mrs. EspiaBoricua and I went to a locally-owned bookstore and it turns out the owner is a older MAGAt/Trumpeteer, complete with a poster-size picture of Donald Trump behind the counter and a sign in front saying masks were not necessary in the bookstore because "there's plenty of room to social distance".

That last statement, as you can imagine, is very much wrong: the aisles in this place are about 3 feet wide and there were two other couples in the store with us. Mrs. EspiaBoricua and I were the only ones wearing masks.

As much as I try to "shop local" I am taking our business elsewhere.

"Sorry, sir.  All the rest of 'em are up on the top shelf, and we done sold all the ladders down here."

Took the opportunity to go grocery shopping - smaller crowds and shorter lines; some deals on day-old bakery items and (non-turkey) meat approaching the sell-by date.
