I once made a visual novel inspired by Law Of The West. Good game. I also remember the original Ghostbusters game on the C 64.

Bruce Lee. That's still one of the coolest games I've ever played. The 2 player mode had a unique feature I've never seen on any other game - the player who was 'at rest' could take over one of the NPC bad guys and try to beat (or help) the active player.

I found an emulator of that game a few years back. I could still remember all the patterns to beat each room, played the whole thing and beat it with 1 life.

I could never get past the Stay Puft guy guarding the door at the end. Those C64 joysticks were horrible.

We only had Adventure Land and Radar Rat Race. Our mom was addicted to RRR.

/We had more fun with the Apple IIe games in our middle school library. They were written in BASIC and stored on floppies, so we could fark around with the instructions and text.

I have no idea of the name, but it was a pirate game, set in the Caribbean, and you chose the difficulty by choosing the century for your adventures.  The 16th century had very few pirates, but also little development, by the late 18th, you had to know your shiat or you died early.

I played The Hobbit. That was fun waiting 30 seconds for each image to be rendered.
Definitely Impossible Mission. I bought this for my stepson and the look on his face when the computer TALKED!

C-64 was a great gaming computer especially since a hole punch was the only thing needed to make a copy of a game for your friends. I am one of those horrible people who almost never bought a game back then. We just circulated copies amongst ourselves.

I was pretty young, so I forget the names ofthe games.  Technically we had a C128, but I remember having to type GO 64 to play what we had.  One was a game where you're a monster destroying cities.  In another, you had to paint all the walls in a building, going up and down elevators while avoiding enemies/items walking around or flying across the hall.

I liked both Jumpman Jr. & Lode Runner because friends & I created a ton of extra levels.

But Paradroid is what pissed me off to no end. I could never completely take over the ship.

Keep your eyes peeled if you want a brand new full sized C64. This thing is selling like crazy.

It's not a perfect replacement for the original but damn nice regardless.

Well, they started putting bad sectors on a lot of disks as copy protection, so you had to use Fast Hack'em to make the copies.

Anyhow, my faves were:

Archon
Captain Zapp
Save New York*

The way the towers fell on 9/11 was eerily familiar.

The one with Eric Cartman in it, Rainbow Islands.
Also, Pancho, it was a Qbert clone but I don't think it was commercial. Played that a lot.
