If wages had kept pace with inflation since the 70s, $15/hr would still be below the minimum wage.

Yes, when you claim that Amazon employees are only paid minimum wage and don't receive benefits, linking to the official amazon page about their wages and benefits is hard to dispute.

Are you implying Amazon workers have it great?  If so, then you're just a sad individual.  The working conditions are for shiat even if those people were paid $50/hr tax free.

In 2017, their employee turnover rate was around 100%.  That means if they had 100,000 workers, then 100,000 people quit over the course of a year, not that everyone quit.

Who are you going to believe?  Random internet guy or Amazon's official website?

2020-11-27 8:19:12 PM
I worked at an Amazon facility for about a month this year.  Minimum wage is $15/hr.  You start out as seasonal but can apply for full time (go from white badge to blue badge) and get benefits.  Working conditions weren't bad, except for way too many people who didn't follow safety guidelines for Covid (especially with social distancing).  This facility handled customer returns and the work is mundane and repetitive.  If you don't process enough packages per day, management gets on your case.  It's not soul-crushing by any means but not the most fun you'll have at work...which is ironic since the slogan is "work hard, have fun, make history".  Never really did experience the "have fun" part.

Move to Denver, get out of the sticks:  $15 minimum wage in Denver next year
