Adapt or die.
Same as it ever was.

Department stores are like if all the athletics kids are home sick, but the PE class still needs a basketball team.

Nordstrom is the captain of the chess club. He's awkward, 130#, but he's 6'5" so there's that.

not sure how amazon is doing well this week with the global container shortage and all the container siting in ports in uk/u.s/eu that are being used as storage and understaffed ports.  the stuff that should be shipping in time for christmas will get there in like february. was reading a article and for every 3 containers being shipped from china to the u.s they have been getting only1 back in the past few weeks. so they can't ship stuff atm. (not just china sk,jp,india etc ) and u.s gov is making it worst because some farmer are complaining that they cant get container for their chicken pea and want to stop the empties from going back fast (even more congestion at port of container that should be moving) probably would need a executive order to have the container that are used as storage to be unloaded to a warehouse / auto clear custom to fix the problem in time for christmas.

The stuff being sold for Christmas arrived over the last two months for the most part.

idk what's causing all the bottleneck at ports and the container shortage ? then lawnmowers and bikini's supply for next summer and people are stealing containers for tiny homes  ?

i think it's more logical that stuff from online sales etc are siting in containers instead of warehouses and not unloading stuff fast enough.

might also be we are both right. stuff for christmas arrived in the past few months but some corps are just keeping stuff in containers instead of warehouses. so what's going to be back order in the next few months is car parts, and what nots people are using in their daily lives. (kinda worst too)
