I'm thankful to you for getting this old goth into a hell of a lot of new music this year & for bringing some underplayed classic back to the fore.
Best show on the radio IMHO.

& to everyone else, have a super turkey day.
May it be played out to a backdrop of excellent music

aussie music gets a pretty regular runout on the show. off the top of my head, just recently we've played icehouse, hunters & collectors, and pseudo echo

Ever played Dead Can Dance?
Spleen & Ideal is a truly epic album

yes, under the milky way was HUGE.

I was sad to see that they got booed at the Benroya Hall a couple years ago.  I thought they were fine, but, man, people really wanted to see the Psychedelic Furs, I guess.

They sounded good, even if they were a little ho-hum in their live performance.  I honestly think that playing the "Reptile" last was a bad idea...  since, people thought the song was over, like twice, and I think that the audience just got tired of it.

By the way, the Psych Furs were absolutely STUNNING.  Their set was farking flawless!

They got booed here? I saw The Church at the old Fenix Underground, and it was a great show.

Almost forgot about the show today. Great choice for The Church. Interesting tidbit I heard recently on another of their classics: Kilbey is not a fan of "The Unguarded Moment". Apparently thinks it's a bit trite. Oh to have the talent to be able to take that position :)

And, while it may be cliche 80s (okay, one song from it is), Starfish is still one of my favorite albums of the 80s.

Thank you for this weekly thread, and thank you for the playlist. I often listen to somafm underground 80s radio https://somafm.com/u80s/ and during the 00's played drums in a touring industrial/synth band and also currently play in a classic punk cover band. Seeing the playlist brings back memories and gives me new ideas. KEEP IT ALIVE!
