I wonder if the irony is lost on these environmental scientists who participated in the expedition climbing the mountain and placing all this gear on it to study climate change and its effects on the planet, also left the mountain littered with spent oxygen bottles, piss, feces, and kilograms of various other trash?

The commercialization of climbing Everest essentially started with Rob Hall and Scott Fischer in 1996. The fact that both men's frozen corpses still remain on the mountain to this day after that complete clusterfark of a climbing season should have been a warning sign to everyone, but here we are...
