Pfft, everybody knows the real ball was destroyed in February, 2004. A group of Red Sox fans scoured the globe to find all the cursed items that tormented us all those years, and we destroyed them like horcruxes in true Harry Potter fashion. The Mets ball was smashed to smithereens with Bernie Carbo's bat. The bill of sale that sent Ruth to the Yankees was hung from the left field foul pole in a thunderstorm where it was struck by lightning and incinerated. The ghost of Tom Yawkey, the most fearsome of the horcruxes, was defeated by Mo Vaughn and his team of supernatural strippers, The Foxy Ladies...
