The game will be played after NBC reminded the NFL of $$$ on Thanksgiving night and how the FOX and CBS games featuring 4 teams with around  a dozen wins amoungst them will suck so this WILL happen.

You're most likely right, and I'll hate to see any Steelers getting infected as a result.

"Our foremost concern is the health and safety of players, coaches and game-day personnel."

Was he able to say that with a straight face? I refuse to believe he managed to say that entire sentence without at least fighting back laughter.

Nfl screwed steelers over once, they'll do it again. Instead of making the Baltimore ratshiats forfeit as they should.

Or not.

Game PPD to Sunday.

Steelers get screwed again. Not sure if the extra 3 days is really going to help, but whatever. Enjoying it while I can because there's a pretty good chance of every team being massively infected by Christmas.

Yeah...the next 2 months are going to be...I don't even know what adjective to pick to describe them.

Different?  Yes.
Weird?  Yes.
Confusing?  Yes.
Sad?  Yes.
Scary?  Yes.
Depressing?  Yes.

I'm not sure there's a single word that combines them all.

Seriously, the took Pittsburgh's mid-season bye week to help Tennessee, now they're giving Baltimore a chance to get well. Hey, when do the Steelers get their postponement for their COVID cases? Oh, that's right, they haven't needed one, because they've been following the rules.

Would they have postponed the game two weeks ago if Ben couldn't go? No? Then Fark the Rats. They have Gus Edwards. Suck it up.

They should have had another game on alert to be played Thursday.

How is Pittsburgh screwed?  Thursday is a very short week, but they do it for the Thanksgiving money.  Now they get to play on normal rest.

The NFL and networks got screwed, yes.

There's a lot of crying Steeler fans in this thread for a team that's 10-0. If the Ravens couldn't beat them in week 8 with everyone healthy an extra three days so they can field something that resembles a football team isn't going to matter.

I want 11-0 the easy way.  Make the Ratbirds forfeit.

Need to postpone so the NFL can get a handle on the extent of the outbreak.  Each day more players are testing positive.  If the game were to be played on Thursday you could have Ravens players spreading it to the Steelers.  Steeler players complaining don't understand that the postponement is for their health.  The Ravens players who are out probably won't be playing on Sunday anyway.

The sheer majority of games are going on without any issues.  I wouldn't classify what is going on with the NFL as anything beyond normal for COVID-19.  All in all it seems like a success thus far.

Yes, we expected some games to move.  Yes, some teams are probably not playing by the COVID regulations as tightly as others (and should be punished.)

But I don't see a problem thus far any more than expected?  Heck, it's a lot less than expected.

they don't get primetime exposure.
they don't get a home field "crowd"
they don't get 10 days rest until their next game
they don't get the Ravens on a short week
they have to adjust their own schedule through no fault of their own... again
players had been promised a 5 day rest break until the next practice
etc
etc
etc

if the game is forfeited (supposedly) the players don't get paid.

want them to start complying with COVID rules?  hit their farking pocket books.

1. Eh.  I think the Steelers brand is doing fine without a Turkey Day game

2. Is there a difference in the crowd between Thursday and Sunday?  I'm missing something here.

3. Yeah, but they get the default rest.  And by nature of math it evens out.

4. This probably would have been nice if you think the short rest was an advantage?  Not sure why it would be?  Both teams played last Sunday, no?

5. Ya know, welcome to the world of COVID.  People need to be more flexible.

Sport is a game, a distraction for us fans.  If any industry needs to be flexible right now, it's entertainment.  Let it ride, you're stretching to find a disadvantage to an already short-rest game being moved to the default date.

What?!?
*googles*
Well shiat, I was out getting a CT scan and various other tests and haven't seen the news today. Besides that, phones can't get service in that section of the hospital. Now I have to think of a game to play with my friend who is arriving soon for the holiday, if I can think of something where we can be 6 feet apart (with masks) and aren't touching the same game pieces.
