(Narf)   Are you pondering what I'm pondering? I think so Brain, but if we put an actual phone sex line's number in the cartoon won't someone find out eventually?   (hitc.com) divider line

Happened in "The Santa Clause" too, but Disney changed the number before it was released on DVD & Blu-ray.

Neighbor had rented it on VHS and invited my son & I over to watch it. I told her I had heard a rumor that the phone number in the movie was a phone sex line, so after we watched it she decided to call it and see if the rumor was true. Didn't go past the menu part, but yeah, phone sex line number in a Disney movie. We thought it was hilarious and laughed our freakin' heads off.

That's because Disney doesn't want any competition when it comes to farking people over for money.

There was a fake commercial in the episode that gave the number to a real phone sex line.

I'm as shocked as you are.  There are still phone sex lines?  People haven't moved over to jacking off on Zoom or Skype or Discord or any of the other dozens of online video chat services?   What the hell?

I always wondered how I w ok old explain sex lines to my kids? "Well once upon a time people wanted to play with themselves while somebody talked dirty to them, but XBox live hadn't been invented yet."

So...who wrote that episode?

Now I'm picturing Maurice LaMarche running a phone sex line.  Not gonna lie, I'm into it.

Slappy manning the phone, dispensing one line zingers...

"I ain't wearing any clothes ya numb nuts"

"What? No! The kind that grow on trees -- get ya mind outa the gutter!"

Hard for me to believe this was an accident. I've only watched a few episodes so far and there were at least two solid dirty jokes so far, reminiscent of the fingerprints joke, e.g., "I have one last trick under my toga . . . goodnight everybody!"

I would say that too, but according to this alleged screenshot linked in TFA, the number is just:

Which is about as generic a number as they get.

/I thought "555" was reserved entirely for fake numbers for Hollywood to use
//Maybe that doesn't apply to 1-800 numbers?

555 numbers only have a certain small section of them reserved for uses in film - I believe it's 555-0000 to 555-0199. After that, they're real, functioning numbers.

Just watched a YT video on this. Hulu pulled the episode, edited the text out, and reuploaded it. Then it was edited again, with a different number. Somebody's not taking over the world tonight!
