It's an IPA. How good can it be?

That's using the current pandemic crisis to your best advantage Busines 101.

Really? I can get 4 bottles but they must be packaged up with 20 more at a price of $4+ a bottle before shipping costs?

Genius!

It's really good, but.

Farking stunning. I live a block from RR Brewery in Santa Rosa and the line wraps around the block for two days or untill it sells out every year. I'll get you a case for $200+shipping and get rid of the other beers, hit my dm

Really. F*cking. Good.

I also enjoy Pliny the Elder, which a store in my neighborhood usually has (in back--you have to ask for it), but the Younger is amazing, But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

Done in one.

But there is no reasoning with hops cultists.

Or you could just find a clone recipe and make it yourself.

Pliny the Elder tastes better in my opinion. And you don't have to wait in line for it. And you don't have to spend $100 to get it. And it's available year round.

Cronies sports bar off the 101 in Camarillo had the Younger on tap several years ago.  I think Fathom Bistro in San Diego may carry it this winter.

I can buy Hydrogen Perioxide any day of the year.

I went to Russian River brewing in 2018. Did the 27 beer tasting (split with my wife) and liked The Elder and Sanctification.

/I really have nothing of value to add to this, but I will be buying some pinot from Russian River Vineyards, which is kinda near-by.

I rip the overabundance of IPAs as much as the next guy but paying out the nose for a triple, even if I could get this stuff, just seems like a waste. The last good IPA I had was Ichy IPA from Great Basin Brewing in Reno.

I prefer Racer 5 from Bear Republic, but I'd much rather have a good Stout or Porter.  There's a brewpub called Block 15 over in Corvallis that typically has 7-8 IPAs on tap (college town).  Their only beer to win awards consistently: Stout.

Local place I (used to) go here in San Diego has Racer 5 on tap, good beer!

Even if it wasn't restricted to CA addresses only, still wouldn't affect me. I live in a stupid, backward southern state that doesn't allow shipments of alcoholic beverages of any kind.

I've only had The Elder, and I am definitely a fan, but it is too damn difficult to find it in the Seattle area.

My local bottle shop used to have it a while back.

The recipe calls for you to keep throwing hops in until your arms get tired.

I had the Younger last year, and expected to be underwhelmed, but damnit, it is a spectacular beer.

I used to see Pliny the Elder at Malt&Vine in Redmond pretty regularly.  I don't even like IPAs and it was still awesome.

According to this, it's not available north of Oregon.  Which is strange because I remember finding it at a liquor store in Port Orchard (maybe Bremerton?) when I lived there

I don't like IPAs. Pliny - Elder and Younger - are absolutely delicious

It's actually... balanced. I expect nothing less from a bunch of out of work geologists :)

if you want to send me one that would be great. A case might be too many. EIP
I am at that point where I would rather pay well for a good 6 than , you know, Lucky Lager.

I like porters and stouts. IPAs seem like they are all the same. Maybe it's because brown beers are all the same.
I like the IPAs the have strong grapefruit tones. I'm drinking Voodoo Ranger Higher Plane right now. New Belgium seems to be a decent place to start.

And the logo...what's not to love.

Oh, it was.  A bit of a challenge to get through it before some of them start to get warm, but it was excellent. Love getting the tasters from microbreweries.
