(Government Executive)   Trump is trying to strip civil service protections from 88% of employees at the Office of Management and Budget. Gee, I wonder how they arrived at that number   (govexec.com) divider line

If anyone thinks this will be implemented, instead of slow-rolled until January 20 at noon, when it will be discarded as the stupid idea it is, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Good. Biden can clean house of all the Trumpsterites and then return everything back to the way it was.

Yes, there's plenty of dickery afoot but we've still got Biden promising to unite and not prosecute their balls off so it seems lady justice took the 9:15 out of this burb and isn't looking back.

The order has been widely derided by stakeholders and experts as an effort to politicize the civil service that would allow the president to purge agencies of employees viewed as disloyal and to instill partisans throughout the federal government. Agencies' preliminary reviews of their workforces to determine who should be moved into Schedule F are due to the Office of Personnel Management by Jan. 19.

Trump Wed. morning: "You're all fired!"

Biden Wed. afternoon: "No, you're not."

Does Trump have any effect in stuff he carries out in the next couple of months. He such a lame duck that I assume everyone would just point and laugh.

Even if Trump has many of these people moved into Schedule F and the fires them, Biden can simply abolish Schedule F and order all those fired be rehired. At this point, this is just the Trumpers showing themselves to be the dicks that they are.

If it wasn't for racism, abortion and gun rights, nobody would ever vote for this party.

But if they are all fired, won't they suddenly lose any senority built up during their federal careers? Things like negotiated contracts & such? Even if they are then hired back?

He's thtill yo prethident, unfortunately.

The intelligent bad actors in the GOP, like Mitch, will use him to do all kinds of nastiness on their behalf hoping he takes the blame and some of it stays done instead of all being fixed by Biden immediately.

Partially correct in that Biden will not prosecute.  He will let his AG make that determination.

...after a couple months of pay and renegotiated contracts.

This is just on one of the dick-moves we're seeing right now and likely in the future before January 20th.

So we don't have to wonder. He's setting whatever he can on fire and doing whatever else he can to keep the hoses away from it.

I don't know and I find the question itself strange.  Were they?  Who cares?  I'm  not talking about other Dems or even about elections.  I want to see investigations based on evidence and prosecutions where the law was broken or else the bullshiat is ingrained as acceptable behavior.

Roasty, toasty trump nuts on an open fire.  Johnny Law nipping at his toes.  Get these holidays started already.

What can be done by executive order can be undone by executive order as well.

Step 1: Use the new latitude to clean out as many Insane Trump Posse plants as possible.
Step 2: Reverse the rule.
Step 3 (only possible if both Senate seats in GA go Democrat): Congress codifies the EO into law.

Biden already is able to clear house of all the Trumpsterites.

This is so Trump can fire the non-partisan federal workers that make up the backbone of the federal workforce and provide stability when administrations change.

Code Pink-Code Pink
Larry, it's Jimmy here. Larry, are you there?
I have some important announcements to make.
So how you doing?
How's the hospital treating you?
Never mind that. Is everybody there?
You're all fired.
Larry, wait a minute here, Larry.
You can't just fire these people.
We need these people.

Shut up, Jimbo. It's my business and I'll run into the ground if I want to.
Ok, that's all. I gotta go.

What the fark was that?
Just calm down, Arlo. Don't panic on me.
None of you guys are fired. Alright?
But Larry just said...
Yeah, what did Larry say? He's in a nut-house, Chester. I said you're not fired. You have a problem with that?

You don't tip them off until the evidence has been gathered and you are ready to put the cuffs on. Let's revisit this next summer, after a real Attorney General has had some time to work.

What's the breaking point for democrats to stop the literal treason going on?

The GOP is refusing to give up power now, at any cost.

W T F is it going to take before someone has some f*cking balls and stops them from burning our country to ground?

We should be marching in the streets with pitchforks and torches and dragging every Republican from their office or home & string them up, because if we don't, we're the ones who are going to pay when Putin decides to Red Dawn America. Removing the USA from Open Skies was all Putin needed and don't think for one minute he won't take advantage of it. His blackmail hold over the entire GOP is playing out right now in real time and we sit here with our thumbs up our asses.

Y'all can say i'm being an alarmist, but seriously WHAT THE F*CK IS IT GOING TO TAKE? When will enough be enough? I can tell you, it's usually when it's too god damned late.

Rehire the ones One Term Whiner fires, fire the ones he keeps on

THEN

reverse the EO.
