He should be replaced by someone more talented, like Pauley Shore.

Is it just me or did anybody else find Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol to be a lazy retread of Police Academy 3: Back in Training?

Thankfully, the franchise got back on course with Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach. And I think we can all agree, it was the game changer.

You could replace those movie names with porn titles and have the same conversation.  And it's pretty similar to the Huey Lewis monolog in American Psycho.

2020 has yet to sink so low as to give us Police Academy 8.

Heresy. The order from least to best is 7 - 6 - 5 - Ski Patrol - 3 - 4 - 2 - 1.

80's film star Steve Guttenberg on returning to the big screen for 'Break Even'
Don't miss 'Break Even' out December 1st on DVD and VOD.

That certainly was a quick turnaround.

2020 has been a nightmare for white people with little to do. At least that's what I keep reading.

The original Police Academy (at the time) was very funny.
I won't let the crappy sequels tarnish its legacy in MY mind

It's easy to bag on The Gutte but he's had his moments.
/Although Boys from Brazil is the last place you'd expect him to show up.

Just watched that a couple of hours ago.

The theme music is classic!

Looking at his IMDB page, he's been working steadier than anyone they've dug up for DWTS.

Examples:
Character named Colton in 2015's Lavalantula - lava breathing giant spiders

Character named Colton in 2016's Sharknado 4 - no explanation needed

Then the other classics:
The Chicken Chronicles
Amazon Women From The Moon
Bad Science (does he wear Kelly LeBrock's outfit? (didn't even need to mention which outfit))
Heidi 4 Paws
Private Valentine: Armed & Dangerous

I've always said anything past Police Academy 6 is garbage.

Any big-screen film starring Guttenberg would be doing good just to break even financially.

That picture made think of a CSB.  So a friend of mine is the manager of a popular pizza place in the south burbs of Chicago.  For whatever reason, a lot of famous people from the 80's end up eating there.  Such a-list celebrities as Erik Estrada.  One day I get a text from him saying the black guy from Spaceballs is at the restaurant.  Now I've seen that movie a hundred times, but it took me a second to realize who he was talking about.  Apparently my friend has never seen a Police Academy movie.

Back in the day, wasn't there some kinda weird rumor that Steve Guttenberg died in the 80's or 90's and was replaced by a lookalike?

Off the top of my head, he was great in Police Academy, Cocoon(his best, imo) and Short Circuit. That's three more great performances than most of us will ever produce.
