Are they made with real baby Yodas?

grokca: Are they made with real baby Yodas?

No, just by Williams Sonoma.  They charge you $30 just to breathe the air in their stores, so the mark-up is not unexpected.

Or, you can make homemade macaroons with a little food coloring in paste form (which is almost certainly what was done for the show)

My dad and I were browsing frying pans for Christmas, one direct-to-consumer outfit claimed Williams-Sonoma takes a 40% cut when they sell All Clad gear. The All Clad website wasn't selling anything 40% cheaper, but that doesn't prove anything definitively.

/Sur La Table, RIP
//they were also expensive, but I use that gear more often than anything else in my kitchen

Well, Baby Yoda will get them for free.
Although I can't help but notice his regimen is getting worse by the episode. He started with fresh frog caviar, then tripe stew in a bar, and is now down to junk food.Hope he doesn't die of malnutrition by the end of season 12.

Adult Yoda only lived for so long when he moved to the swamp and ate the most paleo of diets in the known galaxy.

Nah, it was the Resistance dry food ration that killed him.

Macarons are expensive, but that's about 2x as expensive as the bakery I usually get them from when I want to surprise the wife, and that place is relatively expensive to start with.

Williams Sonoma... figures.

It's kinda hard to get the cookie part to poof up correctly, but the good news is they're still quite edible (if not as wonderful as a correctly-formed one) if that fails. Not that hard to make at home if you're willing to put up with like 2/3 of them failing in that way.

Hey, has anyone heard about the new baby yoda cookies?   i swear i saw them mentioned somewhere around here...

Yeah, but they're just a once in a while treat anyway, so I think it makes sense to buy nice ones from a place who does a great job rather than messing around with something tricky to get right. Simpler stuff we eat more often it makes sense to make, so my wife regularly makes bread and/or bagels.

Since the lockdown in March my wife started baking bread. I preferred the homemade bread to store bought, so now we don't buy bread from the store any more.

It wasn't last week.  It was today.  It's 3 links down from this link in the Fandom tab.  But only one of them is in the Food tab.  Maybe we need a 3rd greenlight for this in the Entertainment tab.

OMG bread is a huge win to make at home. Despite living in a city in the heart of grain country, the very best normal-ass bread around is just OK and is still like eight damn dollars a loaf. Should be half that, at that quality. No idea why bakeries around here can't make bread for shiat. Our terrible bread carries over to make the very best sandwiches in the city just OK, too, and likewise too expensive for how good they are. It sucks.

/ Also, no-one can make a farking croissant around here, the only place that gets the consistency & size dead-on also badly burns every single one they make.
// And again, of course they're like 50-100% more expensive than they should be.

Something on Williams Sonoma is overpriced? I don't think I can make it all the way to my fainting couch.

I was going to say the same thing. They are not normally cheap anyways

Have you tried making macarons? They're as fussy as madeleines or a soufflé. $30.00 for a dozen is fine. If fanbois are willing to pay $50.00, I'm not going to keep them from getting their money stolen.

What you're missing is how the mods and submitters artistically arrange the repeats and disinformation into a verbal collage that paints for us a meditation on how we're all still here, suffering, together.  How long we actually endure and why is what they're hoping we'll actually reflect upon.  Instead we repeatedly fall into the trap of ruminating over the shallow articles they drip-feed us.

Hell, at Costco a couple weeks ago, I only paid 20 bucks for Baby Yoda him/her/itself.
