He should just go ahead and star in his own autobiography.

This sounds amazing. Then again, I love Nic Cage and his sincere insanity.

Full Nic Cage insanity is a beautiful thing.

I recently saw Mandy, and the second half is the Nic-Cagiest thing I've ever seen, and it was fan-farking-tastic.

The bit where he fished a bottle of vodka out of the toilet and has a total meltdown while guzzling the bottle, that was maybe the finest piece of moviemaking in film history.

The same movie in which Nicolas Cage gets into a chainsaw duel with another dude and where a goblin spews tides of mac and cheese out of its mouth. Quite possibly the most awesome movie ever made.

Sounds like a really fun concept. Glad he decided to do it. I'll give it a shot when it comes out.

The chainsaw fight was so metal, I nearly died of lead poisoning just by watching it.

weird, I remember bruce campbell doing this sort of movie. WTAH, it is like as soon as something different pops up, every actor goes running to jump on that wagon.

Zeus' butthole, this could either be this decade's Being John Malkovich or Snakes on a Plane with Nic Cage.

Nicolas Cage lacks the talent to play Nicolas Cage

IIRC, if Malkovich had said no, Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman's second choice was Being Steve Buscemi. Now that would have been interesting. Probably not as good, but interesting.

Thankfully he didn't turn down the chance to star as himself.

Phew!

And those two were in a Nic Cage movie, Con Air.

I'd watch this. I fin cage fascinating in a weird, can't look away sort of way. He's not a bad actor, but man he has gotten some realllllly bad roles in some farked up bad movies.

scalpod: Thankfully he didn't turn down the chance to star as himself.

But which would be more fun? Nic Cage playing Nic Cage, or Nic Cage trying to coach Ryan Reynolds or Zachary Levi how to play Nic Cage? If there's a sequel, I want Nic to be partnered with at least three more actors who also have to be Nic Cage.

I just want him to go undercover.

When asked his alias he can say, "I'm Nic James, biatch!"

I hear it in my head, and it's pretty great.
