I guess my snowplow truck is in this. Don't think the bags will deploy if I hit something with the plow anyway, so it's safe til springtime

In short, GM found that 67,000 airbag deployments in the field had no problems. Further, they had Northrup-Grumman test 4,270 airbag initiators by exposing them to accelerated humidity and temperature cycling, with zero problems.

It's literally a 100% success from testing in the field (owners as beta testers) and in the lab, but NHTSA still wants them recalled.

Holy shiat guys, Takata airbags have killed 27 people!  And that's enough for us to recall even non-faulty airbags.

Wait until the federal government hears how many people have died from gunshots and coronavirus!
