Chimpy McSquirrel: Princip's Sandwich: ClavellBCMI: Chimpy McSquirrel: desertgeek: I think Sheffield United are doomed to be relegated. Nothing about them impresses me this season.

I'm actually annoyed that the sportsbook I play on doesn't have relegation odds because I'd like to see the odds on them getting dropped.

I would have taken some odds on Ful of Ham being relegated at the beginning of the season.

I would have as well. It seems they are cursed to be good enough to get promoted out of the League Championship, but forever doomed to get themselves dumped back down the next season.

English Rayo Vallecano.

They don't make any signings to make them better for the Premier League.
Just keep the same team that got them promoted.
Not good enough.

The last time they got promoted, they made a bunch of signings... and dropped right back down to the Championship.

Chimpy McSquirrel: ClavellBCMI: The ownership seems content to keep collecting those parachute payments when they drop back down while selling off players who get them promoted or loaning them out, all while not spending any money to keep themselves up in the EPL and spending just enough to get players who can get them promoted long enough to sell off/loan out said players.

Yes the Shahid Khan way.
Keeps that money rolling in, no matter what.
Spend it not a chance.

Maybe they'd be better off if their director of football wasn't also overseeing things with a tanking NFL team and running a pro wrestling company.

/that's not a joke. Shahid's son is doing all of those things.

Shahid should only let him do the wrestling thing. It's the one he's having success in.

Seeing Willian in blue messed me up.

Red teams should never wear blue

Knowing Fort William's luck in 2020, wouldn't the match be cancelled?

Additions: striped teams shouldn't abandon their stripes.

I'm looking at you, Croatia Barcelona and Rayo Southamptonense.

Looking at the headlines in Spain, I'm wondering how the fark Barcelona are going to field a defense. They lost Pique until mid-2021 and Sergi Roberto until the spring.

They were already being forced into playing Frenkie de Jong back there.

LOL I looked up too late to see the challenge, saw the ref reaching for his card while Xhaka was in the frame, and was shocked when an entirely different player was booked

Is it more or less shocking than the year Pepe had the best disciplinary record for a La Liga defender?

I gotta make a beer run, but it is 34F outside... and raining. Yuck. At least I should be back before the end of the half.

Headline you don't expect to see on a Sunday:

Darnell Fisher faces FA investigation for touching Callum Paterson's genitals

/he apparently grabbed him by the balls
//Bonus from the end of the Guardian's article: "Preston won the match after a goal from Tom Barkhuizen, as Josh Windass sent off for Wednesday."

So far, when Arsenal get the ball, Leeds get stuck in & take it off them.
When Leeds get the ball, Arsenal seem to just hang back & wait for a wayward pass

The only thing keeping Arsenal in it is the fact the goals aren't 12 feet tall

Incidentally, Wenger was on Desert Island Discs this morning
Should be on the Beeb's player for 30 days if anyone fancies a listen.
Not sure if it's geo-blocked anywhere. I can get it in Hungary, so worth giving it a shot if you're outside the UK.
