NO.

2020-11-21 5:09:26 AM
Oh, it's a serious threat to our existence.  End it.

2020-11-21 5:14:17 AM
Dear asshole,

F*ck your authoritarianism.

Sincerely, an actual conservative

2020-11-21 5:19:59 AM
Conservatism is the idea that time can be stopped purely by consensus.

2020-11-21 5:23:38 AM
All the seriousness it deserves?

Clownshoes and pie fights, it is.

2020-11-21 5:30:44 AM
Last week Charles Koch disavowed his connection to decades of divisive political tricks and propaganda, this week the NRO says we should take "conservatives" seriously... this is GG Allin 2020 right?

2020-11-21 6:08:37 AM
No it's not.  With apologies to James Carville "It's the stupid, Stupid!"

Bingo - we're already doing so.

There's a reason you don't hear the words "right-wing intellectual" very much

It does feel like we're all eating sh*t.

Ryun blasts the Republican Party for failing to construct a working national election system, and conservative donors for pouring money into institutions such as the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute - money that Ryun believes would have been better spent on American Majority.

He's jealous of the grift that everyone else is getting.  That's it.

2020-11-21 7:24:31 AM
I have an idea.  Let's start calling assholes, assholes.  Right up to their faces.  It will lead to better results than those we are seeing.

2020-11-21 7:29:28 AM
When y'all can show some sort of fiscal restraint, some careful and considered domestic and foreign policy that doesn't involve reactionism against those who just happen to have some cash in their pocket you'd like to slide into your own, and actually support the rights of citizens, then maybe we can start taking Conservatism seriously again. Right now, you're just rabid radicals who are using the shredded corpse of Conservatism as a costume.

Pick up your balls, and start calling out your own for their bullsh*t would be a great start.

Actual headline: Treat Conservatism with the Seriousness It Deserves

My response: I do.

Serious investigations into ties with extremist groups.

Then seriously shut them down.

I take traitors to the country very seriously.

Live a fact-based life and I'll consider you a serious person with serious ideas worth taking seriously.

Be a right winger and I'll consider you basically a little child, too separated from the real world to even really understand the consequences of your own idiocy. Just tall fat diabetic children with guns who are violent and evil.

I would begin by asking him to define what HE thinks "serious" means.

2020-11-21 9:27:24 AM
When American conservatism stops being a joke, we'll treat it seriously.

2020-11-21 9:27:26 AM
The people single-handedly responsible for the current American political shiatshow are predictably trying to rebrand themselves again? Shocking.

2020-11-21 9:28:40 AM
Yes, it was all the colluding with Russia that "helped contribute to the Russia collusion hoax at a time."

2020-11-21 9:30:30 AM
Can a conservative share an important position they have that is 1) backed by reality; and 2) helps Americans?

I cant think of a single one. All I can think of is white supremacy, pro-climate change, pro-pandemic, anti-poor, pro-rich, trickle down economics crap.

2020-11-21 9:32:14 AM
We may consider taking you seriously if:
1. You stop being such hypocrites.
2. You stop trying to impose what should be personal life choices for you on everyone.
3. You stop governing in bad faith.
4. You stop trying to curtail voting rights.

Until then, kindly go fark yourselves.

This guy's point is very important:  the Republican party has fundamentally shifted away from an 80s-era "serious" party of core conservative principles, and toward a circus of conspiracy theories, tribalism, and even overthrow of government.

This is important because the Democratic party can make huge gains by emphasizing this --- reminding everyone of these two months for the next four years.  Remind everyone what happened the last time a Republican president lost an election, how he and the whole party behaved, remind everyone of the weirdo stuff they believed and claimed about the ghost of Hugo Chavez hacking the server in Germany, etc.  The Democrats now have a golden opportunity to define the Republican party as a bunch of Larouchites, and fundamentally depress their membership and influence.

2020-11-21 9:32:39 AM
I did, once.
Then, after I saw you enough times dead drunk in a clown outfit with your pants around your ankles, that respect was withdrawn.
If you want it back again, earn it.

2020-11-21 9:33:12 AM
Laugh all you want, but ideas about low taxes, small government, and a strong national defence will never go out of style.

2020-11-21 9:33:13 AM
This piece is risible but there are a few gems in here:

FTFA:

"It is certainly true that the conservative movement is plagued by grifters who take far more from the cause than they give."

I agree!

"For far too many pundits and politicians on the right, it has become profitable to either outright embrace or at least entertain conspiracy theories such as Trump's stolen-election narrative."

I agree! Wholeheartedly!

"the president lost the 2020 election because he ran an undisciplined campaign, mishandled the coronavirus pandemic, and turned off swing voters with four years of exhausting antics - they pretend that it is eminently reasonable to believe he only lost because of a vast, multi-state conspiracy to steal the race for Biden. Why? Because it's what many Republicans want to hear and believe."

Jesus, stop agreeing with me already.

2020-11-21 9:33:16 AM
The only thing I want to hear out of a "Real Conservative" right now is an apology, or respectful silence.  Otherwise every one of you can go to hell.  America's present-day problems are YOUR FAULT.

2020-11-21 9:33:51 AM
I've never met a conservative who didn't have a personality disorder of some kind.  I'm just saying.

They need therapists to work through their many, many issues.

2020-11-21 9:33:51 AM
I farking wish the Dems and the MSM would take the GOP seriously.

Not in the way this shiat stain means it though.

Take them seriously as the threat they are to America, truth and democracy itself.

That noted, this farkstick?...

fta: "We [conservatives] meekly submitted to a mail-in ballot system which nearly all civilized nations, ones even the Left recognizes as among the most advanced, rejected decades ago."

...Is just another moronic grifter on the right pissed that AEI and Heritage get the big bucks.

/Consciousness sucks without coffee >.<

The Populist Dems are.

Unfortunately the DNC and major media is busy making sure those voices are heard as little as possible.

Ever since Rush Limbaugh openly bragged about polluting, it recorded how conservatives distance themselves from conservation.    The single value of conservatives became meaningless as they acted on it.

The large black SUV  became their symbol.

I read the comments.. I kinda liked this one :

(Edited)
The previously conservative Republican party became unserious when:
- the party of family values nominated a man who cheated on all three of his wives,
- the party of fiscal restraint passed a tax bill that cut revenue but did not cut spending such that the federal debt increased by over $1 trillion...even before Covid hit our shores
- the party of Christian values nominated a man who believes in the prosperity gospel, does not attend church, and is adored by evangelicals but does not have a religious bone in his body
- the party of small government increased federal staffing at almost every agency between 2017 and 2020
- the party of state's rights encourages citizens to defy state mandates intended to slow the spread of the coronavirus
- the party who jeered at liberal snowflakes is now humoring a President sulking in his bunker because he can't accept that he was narrowly defeated.

I miss the conservative Republican party and feel like I am now politically homeless.

:
I'm not sure I'd call 10 million more votes as a narrow defeat but I can get behind the rest.
At least she sees the hypocrisy.

2020-11-21 9:34:51 AM
Guys, its seriousness is the same level as a clown car. So we can legitimately treat it with the seriousness it deserves. Great success!

2020-11-21 9:35:01 AM
Treat "conservatives" like the anti-future terrorists they are until they stop waging war against biology.

2020-11-21 9:35:19 AM
The fact that these conservatives think they can pivot to being a serious movement shows they're just as stupid and out of touch as any of the Q cuck clan.

2020-11-21 9:35:21 AM
Okay, tell me what conservatism really stands for and provide some examples from the last four years where the party worked toward those policies.

Oh, screwing everyone because reasons?  I definitely see that.

Dear conservatives.

All of you look like psychopaths from the middle, middle-left and left. You know, the parts of the political spectrum not aligned with nazis and who don't deny basic science.

True, and that's a shame. This country might be something special if it would, instead of a raped, indebted, dried up husk, inevitable prey to grifters and hustlers like Trump.

2020-11-21 9:39:23 AM
Unfortunately, the Tea Party accidentally revealed that their conservatism was actually racism, so you're screwed.

2020-11-21 9:40:34 AM
Is American conservatism an unserious movement? Ned Ryun, the founder and CEO of American Majority, a 501(c)3 that "trains, organizes, mobilizes, and equips new grassroots conservative leaders," certainly thinks so.

It's difficult to take delusional people seriously.

Neither will pedophilia, but that doesn't mean that either should be tolerated or encouraged.
