I haven't been there in years, but there used to be a single use, locking bathroom in the Denver airport. It was just near the escalator to the Sky Club of Delta or United. The door had a sign that said "No Smoking" but it was an oasis of a bathroom! I used it on several occasions.

People are stupid and usually ignore or don't even see those signs on their own. My only question is how many people walked into it?

I spent a few miserable hours in a terminal in the Milan airport back in the mid aughts. No food, beyond a few snacks that were the equivalent of airline peanuts, but the restrooms were the worst.  Literally closed for cleaning for 55 minutes out of every hour.
