I expect transformers to actually transform realistically like the toys do. Bending joints, folding into place, etc.

Having them disintegrate into a whirlwind of parts flying around for reassembly is as lazy as it is pathetic.

Street entertainers on Hollywood Boulevard and on the Strip in Vegas (you know, the peeps tourists snap a pic with for a few bucks) have had these since the first Michael Bay Transformers flick came out.

Getting them kid-sized is super cute, though. I woulda been over the moon to have a costume like that as a kid.

Just saw the first one, once.  Far, far too many humans in it.

I still like the 1986 movie.

Totally agreed.

Those Bay movies just tried to make everything overly complicated thinking that would make it look cool.

Beaker is Michael Myers and Bunsen is Dr. Loomis. Dr. Teeth is Captain Spaulding and the rest of the Electric Mayhem are other characters from House of 1,000 Corpses.

With the original toy, more like bending your legs out sideways until you stick your feet in your own ears.

I expect transformers to actually transform realistically like the toys do. Bending joints, folding into place, etc.

Having them disintegrate into a whirlwind of parts flying around for reassembly is as lazy as it is pathetic.

Do you also expect them to only move when a child pushes them? Stop making the trademark transformation noise because that doesn't happen in real life? The missiles to hit but not explode because what you shot out of the toys didn't?

The toys emulated the cartoons and the children's imagination was supposed to fill the gaps.
I'm sure Hollywood could have done robots that had bending joints that fold into place. But why take away from flashiness and excitement?
I could have watched a movie as you described, but fantasy:SciFi movies are supposed to expand in life, not emulate it.
This actually stretches out thinking in the real life and see what is possible.
Who knows what can happen when nanotechnology reaches a point of small, moving, robotic parts.

That was just for America. Japan felt their kids could supply more imagination without a series.

The last one is "The Devil's Rejects". I think Beaker is supposed to be Michael Myers. Not sure about the Professor though.

I don't think anyone wants realism.

They shouldn't have gloss over the transition.
They fake it, to speak.
They yada yada it.
