And now we have a wolf president.

Finally, some hope.

In Colorado we are voting on whether or not to reintroduce wolves into the mountains. I voted in favor for environmental reasons; not for the wolves' role in the ecosystem but their role in discouraging humans from going to the mountains and farking everything up, as is our wont.

I'm definitely preparing for a shutdown after Dec 11. I don't see any reason a defeated Trump signs a CR.

Only 6000 wolves left to kill? Easy stuff. This administration has killed hundreds of thousands of humans in a matter of months. We can do it!

Yanno... it seems to me that if we had controlled the pandemic here in the US, Americans wouldn't be banned from everywhere, and therefore those 2 wastes of space could continue to go kill animals in the African continent.

Please note I don't want that either. Africans haven't done anything to deserve that.

I used to live in Colorado Springs. I ain't never gonna go hiking in the mountains ever again. It was bad enough seeing the occasional bear. Wolves are far sneakier. I can't say which I'd rather feed though, a bear or a wolf. I wonder if you could be saved from certain death by a bunch of hummingbirds...

Don't forget about the sneakiest of them all, mountain lions.
They only attack from behind. Cowards!
They jump at you from behind and clamp onto your neck.
So wear a mask with a face on it facing behind you.
Confuse them. That's what they do in India, since a lot of big cats act like that.

The Sword - Winter's Wolves [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

Lyrics
Can't you see what you have wrought here?
Bloody battles will be fought here
May the mountains rise against you
May the forests block your path
May your axes chip and shatter
And know it is my wrath
I would mount your heads on the bloody spears
Outside your palace gates
And watch as crows peck out your eyes
And your cities are laid to waste
Can't you see what you have wrought here?
A curse on you and all your kin
Bloody battles will be fought here
Await your doom at empire's end
May the wivers rush to drown you
Nay the earth swallow your hosts
May the winter's wolves surround you
And rip the life from your throats

I got a flat on a mountain road once out in the Siskiyou National Forest. I swore there was a big cat out there..  it was QUIET (like, eerie quiet, no wildlife noise at all) except an occasional very quiet *step* sound. It seemed to be..  pacing.

I got that tire changed and got the fark out of there.

No, this just opens up for the ultimate game, the limp noodle wolf hunters.  Now you can hunt these guys as most are probably openly republican and if you are lucky you can even take down a helicopter.  The loot out of a crashed helicopter is worth serious dosh.

?
Wolves represent absolutely no danger to people that happen to be enjoying themselves in the mountains.  The biggest threat they are is to when the city people bring fluffy along with them to the mountains and allow them to run around free.

2020-10-30 6:40:50 PM

IAmRight: In fairness, you don't need wolves to control other populations if you're also gonna kill off all their prey.

The main point for those that hunt and don't want wolves is not that they want to 'kill off all thier prey".  It is because the added pressure of both normal hunting season and wolf predation can oftentimes 'kill off all the prey".

The vast majority of hunters want to see stable and high populations of the game animals that they hunt.  reintroducing wolves into an area makes that task very difficult.
