I've been thinking about this.  What can we do if he refuses to leave?  The possibility of general strikes or sick outs did occur to me.  If we did it beyond just government workers then the rich guys who own stonks and companies might do something as the market crashed and shareholder value was destroyed.

We can't let the Armed Beardos run amuck after the election.   Despite not being armed to the teeth we do have power because we have jobs and pay taxes.   If we go limp and refuse to work en masse that will speak louder than anything.

Twentieth Amendment to the United States Constitution

Section 1. The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d [sic] day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.

At 12:01PM on January 20th, 2021, if the congress hasn't certified a result that shows Donald Trump received at least 270 electoral votes, his term ends. At that point, Trump can issue any EO he wants, any military order he wants, any policy implementations he wants, and nobody is obligated to follow those orders.

I'll also add: I'm pretty sure we can build a pretty strong legal case for shooting the guy, considering conservatives have spent the last five decades saying that that's what the second amendment is for.

If he loses and his electoral shenanigans fail, the Secret Service will take great pleasure in escorting him off the White House premises at 12:01 on January 20th. The rest of us can just ignore him.

If he gets destroyed at the polls, I'll be interested to see his followers reaction in a couple of months. The cultists won't tolerate a loser, so I expect that he'll be forgotten rather quickly.

I was in France when they announced the move to a 35-hour work week as the standard.  Implementing in the private sector was relatively straightforward, but there were concerns about how to make the transition for the civil service.  Finally it was announced that it would be accomplished in stages.  First they'd work 25 hours a week, then 30, and then finally 35.

Except that assumes that there aren't two simultaneous realities. Our reality, and the Dump reality, which all of his followers believe, and which there is a nonzero chance that (R) politicians support. You don't think he and his evil team can create a story that his 42.5% of the population will believe? With two months between the election and the inauguration?

We're not talking about "what if this one man says 'I don't wanna.'" We're talking about him and his entire cult not only not *accepting* the results, but living in a different reality where there's tons of proof that the election was a fraud and a huge conspiracy, and their man IS the rightful king of the country.

For the past four years we've been pointing to text on a page that says he's not allowed to do what he's doing. How has that been going for us, would you say?

Prediction: Cries about rigged elections and fraud until it is obvious he can't drag it through the courts for very long without spending his own money. Then it's off to some last minute 'fark you' EOs that are toothless and short-lived. Then more and more time at golf resorts until he leaves the country never to return, snubbing the inauguration. He'll tweet non-sense from his hotel in the Bahamas with fewer and fewer people caring until he pulls an Elvis.

I've been curious about that, but with the thought of some of those people willingly following those orders. I know there would be cut off points down the sequences, but what it might start is troubling.

My back and knees are screaming at the thought of having to do a fireman's carry with that bloated sack.
I've seen four-handed seat carries with heavier soldiers as they *always* get picked to be the injured guy. Never the dude that weights a buck oh-five... It's possible to do for short distances. If there is even the hint of a grade, it sucks bigly. Downhill is especially funny as momentum and tiredness builds up.
