Trump didn't take action, so much as stumble around committing various crimes while lining his own pockets.

Did he just equate his tweets to those of the Ayatollah of Iran?

Just like how Trump made it his number one priority to undo everything Obama did.

BSAB, indeed.

2020-10-30 1:06:22 PM
He will probably have the same kind of success Trump had in rolling back Obama's executive orders (not much).  So I wouldn't hold your breath.  Administrative Procedure needs to be followed.

From TFA:  ""We're preparing a list. And the list is long," she said Thursday. "We'll have a team of individuals, again, working on reversing all of the bad regulations and laws that have been put forth ... We will work with the Biden administration to ask them to file stays in a number of cases that are pending in the courts all across this country.""

Hmm, not a single reference to any policy whatsoever that's on this list in the entire article.

Should Trump lose the Election and eventually leaves/is dragged out of the White House, I hope any AGs would go after his kids first, especially Ivanka. See if they will take the fall to protect Trump, or will they try to save their own skins.

Don't know what's on this actual list, but let me offer my choices:

Re-enter the JCPOA
Re-enter the Paris Climate Accord
Fire Bill Barr
Fire Steven Miller
Fire Betsy DeVos
Fire Steve Mnuchin
Spearhead legislation to impose term limits for Supreme Court Justices
National mask mandate
End the Chinese "tariffs"
Legalize weed
Re-unite the goddamn kids and their parents already.

I know there's more to go on to that list, but that's my start.

Which of Obama's executive orders did he try and fail to repeal? I think we're still waiting on his plan to repeal & replace Obamacare. It's been a long 2 weeks...

If there is anything we learned from the Trump/McConnell era, proper procedures can be thrown out the window if found inconvenient.

Wishful thinking after they're starting to see the writing on the wall. I hope Joe goes right down the punch list of Trump BS to undo before the prosecutions start.

At first I figured it was because his shiatty kids like to kill animals, but that doesn't make sense because I think they'd *prefer* it if the animal was endangered. So it really is just a f*uck you to nature, along with opening up the Tongass for logging.

Fire EVERYBODY. There should be almost nobody still in the federal government's employ on January 21, 2021. Biden's first job will be to hire a competent HR director to hire a massive HR staff to repopulate the government, but there are so many shiatweasels in there now that some serious housecleaning needs to be done--like enough to affect unemployment numbers by two percentage points. Sorry, but if you're even a little bit Trumpy, you gotta go. You do not have the best interests of the country at heart.

NutWrench: Biden can start by firing ALL of Trump's "acting" department heads.

My guess is that, assuming Biden wins the election, many of Trump's unconfirmed appointments will leave on their own before his term is complete.  It seems like almost all of them have been in the news at one point or another for ethics violations, crimes (that vanished into Bill Barr's black hole), or just sheer incompetence.  The party's over and they'll close out their positions while they're ahead and can do so on their own timeline.  I'd expect to see a lot of "grateful for the opportunity to have served the country, but now pursuing other opportunities/spending time with family" announcements on Friday evenings.  Probably whatever the minimum legal announcement is for their offices to make to the public.

Actually it's really easy to roll back or nullify an executive order -- simply write another executive order. It can be done day one in five minutes.

Executive orders aren't laws nor are they meant to be permanent, They're just quick actions regarding things for which there are no laws for. An executive order cannot overrule existing law (that was the part Trump was having trouble with), nor does it have to be dutifully followed by every Administration.

Trump was attempting to undo laws, treaties, regulations, etc with executive orders that amounted to "stop enforcing regulation x". Those are way easier to reverse, since the fix is "executive order y has been rescinded, and enforcement of regulation x should resume immediately."

Had Trump played by the rules, his vandalism would have been much harder to repair.
