iamskibibitz: Naw. It's easier to win when the other team (minus one player) is collectively hitting well below .200 for the Series.

It's almost as if the game is touch harder when you don't have an idea of what pitch is coming.

as a dodger fan, the astros can go fark themselves for needing to cheat to win

as a baseball fan, the astros can go fark themselves for sullying what would've been considered one of the best world series ever because they felt they needed to cheat to win.

regardless, go fark yourselves, astros.

Pitchers pitch better when the other team doesn't implement a complex signals-stealing scheme.

There were two very interesting anomalies in the 2019 World Series:

1) all 4 Nats victories were away games
2) the Astros' hitters got WORSE as the night wore on when it's usually the opposite

This leads me to believe that, though the Nats would never admit it, that they KNEW  Houston was stealing signs in their ballpark, and after a few innings, switched to a new set of signs  that made the Astros swing on the wrong pitches

If the Nats had 4 victories, shouldn't they have won? I think that's a bigger scandal and no one is talking about it!

They did.   Astros won in 2017.  Nats beat the Astros last year (the visiting team won every game).  What that could mean is that the Astros were the better team, but at home they relied too much on the pitch relay system and the Nats beat them by switching up signs.  The Astros probably would have won if they had dropped the system

Damn...2020 has been a decade long and I honestly thought the astros cheated to win it last year.

It's been crazy right?  Probably thrown off in that the accusations came to light last year.   Which may have come up if the Nats figured out they were using a system, or were tipped off and were able to counter it, which would have proven them allegations correct.
