OMG, we elected a creepy game show host for something more important than dogcatcher?

I see that my thoughts on the matter have already been covered.

I've lived through the past four years. I cannot be frightened ever again, not by words, not by actions.

Scariest sentence: "In Popolac a kind of peace reigned. Instead of a frenzy of panic there was a numbness, a sheep-like acceptance of the world as it was. Locked in their positions, strapped, roped and harnessed to each other in a living system that allowed for no single voice to be louder than any other, nor any back to labour less than its neighbour's, they let an insane consensus replace the tranquil voice of reason.

That's not a sentence.

I love halloween but I have come to hate horror movies.

I think it's age and the fact that I've seen way too many real horrors to want to also push my nose in it in my spare time.  Action, sure. Tension, sure. Drama, sure. But horror, meh, no thanks.  I also don't much like embarrassment humor.

Not a curmudgeon.  Have fun, just not for me.

FTFY. At this point, they are keeping him alive with adrenochrome transfusions from 1,000 liberals a day from the Camps, and whole body blood transfusions from six year old virgin girls.

Same.

They usually of two types:
Jump scares, which is boring.
Full of stupid people making stupid decisions under stupid circumstances.  I feel zero empathy for the horror brought down on the idiots and lose any connection as to why I should care for them.

Some of those decisions are debatable. Justin messing around with the warp core "portal" at the beginning, and Peters chasing her "son" (who can't possibly be on the ship) come to mind immediately.

Indeed.  That stupid, monumentally incorrect, willfully ignorant, selfish, dumbass statement was just catchy and compelling and delusion-inducing enough to low-information, hate-filled assholes to be a cornerstone of why we are where we are now.  Or, in the spirit of the three-word theme in this thread:

The Ruins was pretty unnerving.  Some of their decisions could be considered "unwise", but not outright stupid. And even the decisions that turn out bad have some reasoning behind attempting them.
