Apparently he'll be ok with you if you're a woman and he can watch you sunbathe.

Sub Human: Good luck selling your house, viral marketing has a dark side.

Does full disclosure include next-door neighbor likes to ogle your sunbathing wife, goes ballistic over minor issues?

Sometimes people just move on.  No explanation.  Without a trace.

I wish some really stone-cold ballbreaker would buy the neighbor's house just to have the privilege of showing Mister Cranky-Ass next door what a REAL "Neighbor From Hell" looks like. Drive the mean old bastard into a heart attack.

Moving to Clearwater is about as smart as showing up to Disneyworld in bondage gear and asking where that biatch Googfy.

I've got to say, I clicked this article expecting to read about angry Scientologists stalking someone.

You constantly surprise me, Florida.

Reminds me of when I moved to Utah and my neighbor reported me for drinking coffee and only having two wives.

Now that he has made this threat on a 911 call can't the other neighbors get a restraining order against him forcing him to live elsewhere?

fecking?!?

Now, they can't wait to leave.
"We're fixing it up and we're finishing up the house and we're going to end up moving," said Ferry. "We just can't deal with it anymore. "

Well, this should certainly help sell it. And, why is the neighbor still heavily armed?  You know, with his previous history and all.

2020-10-30 5:30:02 AM
I have to say:
He was released after he posted a $1,650 bond

Was actually the more annoying part of this story.
I've been issued higher bail on tickets.
WTF
Must be nice

You could give him one more hand grenade. Well, most of one anyway. He is already on record as owning them.

Gonna need some pics of the wife sunbathing before I make a decision on the neighbor. If she is smoking hot, I may pull up a chair

The 911 call taker repeatedly told him the line was recorded and not to make threats. When she asked if he had any weapons, he responded, "I've got a ton of xxxx weapons. I got xxxx hand grenades. I'll blow them out of the xxxx ground."
When police arrived, they arrested Nielsen, charging him with threat to discharge a destructive device. He was released after he posted a $1,650 bond.

You know.  It's just the morning time before the bowel movement and I wonder if this is going to be one of those that will make me sweat and take the lords name in vain but you think there would be one of them search warrants issued so the cops could see if the guy had xxxx weapons and xxxx hand grenades.  Just me, of course.  Obviously this is a white guy with a black blue and white flag in his front yard and requisite political signs.

Also a Californian transplanted to Clearwater.  What part of CA are you from?  I'm from Thousand Oaks.

I looked up the record on the Clerk of the Court's website.  Dude was brought up on felony charges of Threatening to Discharge a Destructive Device and Resisting an Officer w/o Violence.  He's got four current stalking injunctions against him from four different women.  A felony battery charge.  And a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.  He is also an extremely shiatty driver with multiple driving violations.

Sounds like a total winner.  I hate living here sometimes.

When 8 On Your Side knocked on Nielsen's door, no one answered.

8 On Your Side should consider themselves lucky.  No way I would have gone knocking on his door.

This is a common case in all states.  This is not a Florida specific thing.

Lots of annoying/nightmare neighbor videos on YouTube.  Some very hard to watch because of the amounts of crazy involved.

My crazy neighbors just moved, and I'm delighted.  They had installed a privacy fence right on the property line and then planted stuff on both sides to hide it.

We kept treating our side with round up, so eventually they quit planting in our yard, but the cypress trees they planted inside their fence started overhanging and shading our yard.  After careful consideration, we started dragging a ladder along the fence and trimming everything that was in our airspace.

They went nuts, and called everyone they could think of, trying to stop us.  The planning board, surveyors office, HOA board, even a private attorney told them that because their fence was right up to the line, we were entitled to landscape our yard and space to our satisfaction.  Their aesthetic choices were to be confined to their yard.

Our new neighbors hate cypress and are currently taking the trees down.  Win all the way around.

I am blessed with great neighbors on my short street.    We're all jusssst nosey enough to keep an eye on things but not get into each other's business.

Wow, I grew up in Ventura. I also lived in T.O. and Oak Park for a but spent 40 years in Ventura County.

It has all the same problems as anywhere in Florida because, well... it's Florida.  But I enjoy it. I work for the chamber of commerce at the visitors center at Pier 60.

Monty_Zoncolan: or you could live next to scientologists...

Heh. My parents live there (aren't Scientologists). Years ago some new neighbors moved in on their block so they went over to introduce themselves. It was a really nice middle-aged couple with a couple of kids. The couple invited my parents into their house and there was a family portrait on the wall. Next to it was a portrait of some guy. My mom asked, "who is that?" The wife casually replied, "oh, that's L. Ron Hubbard."

Good luck selling the place. Now that everyone knows about the neighbor.

"Thinking of moving to sunny Clearwater, FL?"

That's a resounding "no" from me subby. I don't care how nice the beaches are, I wouldn't want to live in any part of Florida even if they gave me free housing and $200,000 a year without working. Too much humidity and heat, I don't want to have to worry about hurricanes, and the people are batsh*t insane. To borrow from a movie quote, go sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here.

I totally would.  Who says we have to leave our house.  Everything's delivered these days.  I haven't gone out unless necessary in 8 years.

/yeah, I was social distancing before it was cool.

How has nobody suggested moving him next to the Scientology HQ? Put him next door, pull up chair, grab a beer, and enjoy the show.
