I voted in  early voting in Tennessee.    We had a paper ballot,  with twenty five illustrated examples on the walls  and verbal instruction from 4 different humans telling us to fill in  the squares completely.  I filled in the Biden/Harris square so fully and so darkly,  I nearly tore a hole in the paper.

Thank you.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I voted for Biden strictly for the socialism and the prospect of rioting in the suburbs. I'm an issues voter... well, let's just say I have issues.

Since I'll be losing my health care, I will be able to take great solace knowing the pandemic made the wealthiest 1% even wealthier.

That thieving, orange farkwad paid $750 in taxes.

I know there is a lot of fear over people getting complacent at the post show a very high probability that Joe Biden not only wins, but sweeps the election.

But headlines like this, and a lot of other things, makes me think that people are really taking this very super totally cereal. People are really getting out there to vote, which is great.

Okay, I'm not going to go vote for Joe Biden. But there's a pretty good reason for that. So I don't feel bad.

Small things?
Like the knot in my stomach that has been there since Trump barely won 4 years ago finally going away?
That would be nice.

And lean on his administration through every avenue,
And vote in midterm, and local elections
And Lean on those politicians.

TAXES!

Vote 'NO' to Biden.

COVID is ok, so is being beholden to Russia, a national debt that has never been seen before, a SCOTUS that will repeal women's rights, and full on racism.

You do you, America.

I'm voting for Biden because I want a sane world and inventing new ways to lock up curious people is not what I'm voting for.

Good headline. Too few comments.

Are frequenters of the poltab being systematically eliminated?

Dropped off my ballot in a drop box earlier this evening. I think it was a drop box. Made of cardboard with crayon scribbles?

Anyways ... I've been a straight dem voter ever since the gop scum went on national tv to lie about the reasons for starting Iraq 2. Farking bloodlusting maniacs. I was literally screaming at the tv when that happened. It was so painfully obvious they were playing on American emotions to get what they wanted. Traitorous scum.

Besides, this will teach the DNC that Bernie deserves a chance in 2024.

I've seen candidate ads for local/state/federal office in local immigrant newspapers e.g.; Local  Vietnamese or Hispanic weekly here in the Bay Area. But I've never seen a presidential ad in Arabic before (targeting voters in Michigan):

I don't care about Bernie, and I didn't sit this one out, so you can GFY.  This "what we can expect from a Biden presidency" list is farking pathetic, and reeks of comfortable, wealthy, white privilege.

If a return to decorum and respectable rhetoric is all you need to feel better about the state of this nation, you need to pull your head out of your ass and get your priorities straight, because there are bigger problems out there than your vague feelings of damaged national pride.

People need healthcare they can afford.
People need education they can afford.
People need relief from student loan debt.
People need to be able to vote and be counted.
People need to be paid a living wage.
People need to be able to walk or drive through their neighborhoods without the fear of being killed by police.

And most of all, when people vote for a representative in a time of crisis, they need that representative to work for them, instead of putting the interests of banks, corporations, rich donors, and their own finances first.

When you ignore these issues and vote for the guy who makes you feel comfortable because he's not going to threaten your privilege, you're saying "fark you, I got mine" just as loudly as any Republican.

Point of order!!!!

The title of the article is All the small things you can look forward to in a Biden administration

The small things. Small.

And the point of the article is that they would be nice. The point was that before Trump they were overlooked and considered unexceptional, but after Trump they will be appreciated, for a time.

Bennie Crabtree: Point of order!!!!

OK.  Fair enough. You're right.  I missed the word "small" in the article headline in favor of subby's, and that does change the picture it's presenting a bit.  I agree that it will be nice not to have an orange buffoon throwing poop across the Oval Office every day.

But it doesn't excuse the rampant attitudes of "all I need is not-Trump and everything will be fine", or "any criticism of Biden will not be tolerated".

I voted for the corporate bank-humping motherfarker, and I'll criticize him and his half-assed policy promises all I want.

Actually, we will have reasonable restrictions on hate speech.
