My name is Kurt Wagner. But in the Munich circus, I was known as The Incredible Nightcrawler!

I've liked his acting in everything I've seen him in. Even the Get Carter remake.

/Delightfully dislikable as Emperor Saturninus in Titus

I'll just leave this here.

Alan Cumming "The Fragrance"

It was a brilliant fragrance, akin to rolling around in a hay loft with David Tennant.

He did a sitcom in the mid-90s based around being a flight attendant that I didn't watch. But based on what a friend told me, provides a line I still use.

"You for coffee?", or just, "for coffee?"

In a Scots tongue, that can come across as "fark off, eh?"

I have never seen the performance but I've seen still from the National Theatre of Scotland's The Bacchae.Euripides' ancient play.

Cumming played Dionysus.  Decked out in a gold lame kilt (it is Scotland) and vest.   Tony Curran was also in it.   Would have loved to see that.

Mostly I wanted to mention the gold lame kilt.

A role worthy of inclusion on any actor's resume.

He's been great in almost everything I've seen him in.

It was kind of hard to believe him as a heterosexual married man in The Anniversary Party.. but the movie was still weird and good.

If they're vegan, then they don't have any Cumming in them.

Right?   Right?

As opposed to his cheaper Indian counterpart, Alan Cumin.

Nyet - plenty of hand pie types that are practically already vegan barring the dough, and that's not that hard to achieve tastily anymore.  One of the handy (hah) things about them, filling's up to you, almost anything's pretty good assuming it's not a substance you actively despise

Vegan hand pie?  is that when you are jerked to completion by a robot hand?

He was one of the best parts from Plunkett and Maclean, an underrated movie in my opinion.

He took over as the host of Mystery! on PBS.  After Diana Rigg left, I believe.  And as a kindness to American audiences, modulated his Scottish accent so you could understand every word he said.  Practically.

If you get the chance you should check out the High Life. Mostly it's just the three main characters being biatchy at each other, it's great.

My friends and I still use "Oh, dearie me" whenever something bad happens to someone we're not fond of.

I second the sentiments regarding Titus, The Anniversary Party, and Cummings's stage roles. I'd like to add he and Parker Posey were brilliant in the underrated Josie and the Pussycats movie.

I miss Saturday Night on Broadway. Alan Cumming used to sing it on IG every weekend while reprising his role as the Emcee in the revival of Cabaret at Studio 54 several years ago. Here's the story about it, along with supercuts of Cumming performing it.

Jon Townsend, that's who.

That is actually the distaffbopper's favorite recipe that I make.  She loves it.

I make it in tinfoil pie pan, I use an eye round roast and cut the meat up into bite size pieces.  I use Labatts Blue for the beer, and cook it in a conventional oven at 325 F for about 2 hours 30 minutes to 2 hours 45 minutes.

Sounds good. I might have to make some of those. I'm not a vegetarian but the gf is, and I've found a lot of good recipes using lentils and sweet potatoes.

That looks incredible.  I'm gonna try doing it with venison.  Bonus: got the proper pot for it, too.
