I commend the prankster for shelling out $$ to get these idiots on camera thanking Mephistopheles for his Trump support.

I saw another one of those recently that was read and said TRE45ON on it which I thought was fairly clever.

This one works, too.

Patrick Macnee was awesome as Lord Iblis. A lot of the nuance was lost on me when that story originally aired, but he was very memorable. Why is it that British guys always make the best devil?

This might dilute the brand these farks are selling, a bit. I'm okay with someone spending their money this way. Cheap laugh:

precisely

The Ibis bird was sacred to and associated with Thoth the God of wisdom and writing. Thoth was often represented in the form of a man's body with the head of the Ibis and was the patron of the educated scribes who were responsible for the administration of Egypt.

Browsing their web-site is depressing.  The only ones that are cool are the celebrities that donate their fee to politics.  However, if, as a Canadian, I request a message from Alyssa Milano (for instance), am I not circumventing the federal election laws somehow?

You aren't donating to a candidate, she is. Or isn't.

One of the comics in Philly got one for her parents (who are physicians on the front lines in NYC) from the guy who play Dr Todd on Scrubs. It was hilarious and he'd drop the character long enough for some genuinely heartfelt words. I had heard that a lot of these celebs phone it in, but I saw Dr Todd's video and it was quite good.

By the way, if you want to get one for me, then definitely Kevin Conroy or Billy West. There's no way they're not good.

Then, am I not facilitating her breaking the law?  I don't know you but I assume you are American (or let's say that you are).

If you agree to take $1,000 from me for smarting this post and say you will donate $1,000 of your own money to Biden's campaign, haven you just acted as an intermediary facilitating a Canadian donation to Biden?

You are getting Guneet Jolly.  He's loosely affiliated with Bollywood.  He's only $10 but he will spend the weekend, sing you some songs and do some light chores.  He's at your door now.

No, I've taken a $1000 from you, a dummy who gives a service to a stranger a $1000 to validate their online self-worth. I might donate some of that to a candidate or a PAC supporting a candidate. I might not.

Now, a celebrity indicating that she's going to donate some of the post-platform-fee revenue from the service she's selling on a platform selling the access to her time, that's on her. That's the service she's selling. I'm not an election law expert, but so long as she's abiding by whatever individual contributor limits exist, I think she's fine.
