With 5 days remaining, Asian voters have already cast more ballots than they did in the entirety of the 2016 general election in Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas.

They clearly are responding to Trump's kind words towards this demographic group.

All I did was do like Trump suggested... you know, vote. Then go out to my car, change my shirt, put on a hat and go vote again.

I have been doing that since 13 October, and I am really not that tired yet.

This is how the first 12 months of a Harris/Biden administration will go:

Biden implement's the gun plan on his website
The Supreme Court strikes it down
Biden begins to pack the court

At this point, 20 something states will decide to leave the Union or the shooting part of CW2 will start

And to think they were all bragging about how many Californians were fleeing deep-blue Californa to Texas because freedom.

They didn't realize they were bringing the blue plague with them.

Will Biden use the same FEMA death camps as Obama? Or will he use the Antifa organization to be his muscle?  I hear there will be no police to stop them from coming into the suburbs

honestly, the fact that the GOP is having to pour money into a state they're supposed to easily carry so they can barely squeak out a win is enough this go around. they're pulling money from other battleground states to maintain their lead in what's usually a GOP stronghold. that Democratic momentum will absolutely matter in the midterms two years from now.

You're making the dangerous assumption that there will be a midterm election two years from now.

TXprof: Here's the big question in Texas:  Is there actually some large population of voters out there in Texas who didn't vote for Trump in 2016 (when he was running against HRC, who was evil incarnate) that have decided to vote this time?  It's pretty hard for me to believe that there are large numbers of Trump voters who sat on the sidelines in '16 and are energized now.

The problem wasn't that there were a lot of trump voters, it was that a lot of people simply didn't vote. Turnout over the past 20 years has hovered in the low 40s, with the core of republicans making up the majority of those showing up. Democrats basically gave up on Texas the way republicans gave up on California. That started to turn in 2018 when democrats crashed the state house here and finally figured out that voting does work here. Now they are aiming to take the house and possibly turn Texas blue.

Governor Asshole and the republicans are scared shatless.

Governor Asshole is in for a surprise. In the short time I have been here I have seen one thing is true - when you tell the locals that they can't do something you had better GTFO of the way because they will try and stomp you on their way to doing it.

Like the meme of the kid with the butter knife about to stick it in the electric outlet, republicans didn't think their plan all the way through. And a shatload of these are new young minority and college educated white voters that have always been put off voting by Texas "red state" reputation, which is why the state may just turn blue this go around.

It seems impossible to be that any ethnic group could close their eyes, cover their ears, and pinch their nose to vote for Trump.

Sure, I get people hate abortion (making it illegal will not stop abortions just drive it underground where it isn't safe again) and want to keep as much of their money as possible (ignoring the fact that the Republican tax cuts mostly went to the top 1 and 0.1% and many of us 'peasants' and poors had increases  all while increasing the deficit by billions <gasp>).

But he is a literal threat to the republic of America. How any individual could be so mindlessly indoctrinated regardless of race is beyond me.

And still Trump panders to his throngs of maskless assholes that a Biden presidency will be all doom and gloom. All evidence of Democratic leadership points to the contrary you dumb farks.

I know plenty.  The common thread, and I wish I was making this up as I'm including blood relatives in this, seems to be "I'm voting for Trump because he's not a Democrat."

Going off track here a little but this is my main issue with the two party system.  You get way too many people "voting x cuz they ain't y" as opposed to "voting z because they actually like z."

Something to think of if you're ever accused of voting for Biden simply because "he's not Trump."

It's all about motivations:

Democrat Texans: "We need to get blatant corruption, nepotism, cronyism, and disregard for laws out of office.  Our politicians should represent all of us regardless of party affiliation, wealth or ethnicity."

Republican Texans: "We can't let Democrats beat us!"

/That's about the nicest and/or least stupid reason I could think of for Texan Republicans motivations.
