Sounds like they are going to experiment with actually stocking the shelves with merchandise. Bold and visionary move, but they will find that they have to actually pay people to do it. Maybe now every single canned good I order from them won't be smashed all to hell; there is something weird going on with that.

So far, Walmart has done a fantastic job of pulling the cashiers to go shop for online people while the local morons try to use the self checkouts.

Walmart, truly an example of how amazing capitalism is.

I think they are stocking the shelves in logical order instead ordered to promote sales to shoppers.

Yeah, at least consistent and known locations for each item, then they can write an in house app to send order fulfillers down each aisle in the most logical way to pick everything in one pass.  They can even rearrange product locations as long as the computer knows where they put it. Then they can pay the order fulfillers by the pound and they load 16 tons and what do they get? Eventually robots can do the picking and now every store is a fulfillment center but people can still shop there.

One important thing is that returns are super easy because you can return the item to any Walmart.

I can't drive ( legal and eyesight reasons ) and neither can my Mom ( same ). Dad used to do all of the driving but he died in August ( Fark 2020 ). Mom went ahead and paid for a year of the WalMart Plus service. It's OK considering we literally cannot get to a single WalMart, not even by bus. The biggest problem is this COVID chaos and they're often out of stock. Mom wanted to do this as the Target I can walk to is always out of stock in these horrible times. WalMart will substitute items and they've been pretty good about it so far -- it's just how the fark can anyone be out of gummi bears!?

/ I have to get one item for myself.
