The Pigs today are all independently owned, but in the old days they were always innovating. For example, being able to walk down aisles and pick our your own stuff, then take it to a cashier at the end? That was them. Most traditional grocers insisted that was nothing but a recipe for shoplifting, and now it's the norm everywhere.

Our Pig has the best craft beer selection of any grocery store I've seen anywhere in the country. Their beverage manager recently told me it's about half of their revenue.

Why yes, I'm on a first name basis with my beverage manager. No, I don't have a problem. No, you shut up.

I love the pig! Like you said, pretty good beverage selection. My local one has half an aisle for clearance, and you can always find something good. The store band cereal is also really good; Happy Shapes taste exactly like Lucky Charms did when I was a kid and the marshmallows are chewy too. The first time I tried it I ate half the box!

The only thing about it that I don't like is that the prices tend to be on the high side, owing to their independent nature.

Woops!  Wrong thread.

The Pig rocks BTW.  There's one by my folk's place.  Very good brats and the cashiers have the thickest 'scony accents.

Don't kid yourself, Jimmy.  If a robot ever got the chance, he'd eat you and everyone you care about.

My HS sophomore English teacher was from Oconomowoc. So, from time to time, for over 50 years, the wonderfully melodious word "Oconomowoc" has drifted through my head.

He taught us about Finnegans wake. To amaze us, he wrote out all the puns in the title on the blackboard.
