(Some Guy)   Arizona Coyotes admit they knew their first pick of this years draft had been a bully in high school. A bully to a mentally disabled boy he assaulted and once gave a urine soaked lollipop to   (rawcharge.com) divider line

It figures North Dakota would recruit him...

Christ, what an asshole.

About the lollipop, the kid had to get tested for everything from Hep to AIDS.  Reports are coming out that Arizona was the only team that had him on their draft board

North Dakota -- the lesser of the Dakotas. Can we just give it to Canadia?

A trade like that, you'd need to throw in California, too.

They're still trying to make the Arizona Coyotes happen?

Someone should bake him some cookies with water taken from the intake ponds at a sewage plant

Guess all the extra workouts didn't find out the kid is a complete a-hole.

Sounds like a typical kid raised by parents more interested in turning their kid into a pro athlete and making money off him/living vicariously through him.

As a former youth sportsball coach, the worst behaved kids on every team also had the biggest asshole parents that just knew their kid was going pro. Unfortunately, those kids were usually the better ones on the team because mom/dad paid for the best equipment, the best offseason coaching, and sent the kid to half a dozen offseason sports camps.

This is the type who elevates beyond being a bully. They're sadistic and torturous and their full mental health would always be suspect to me. This guy has serious issues to be able to torture someone with a disability for years. He's a piece of shiat for sure, and I hope all his future teammates treat him as such.

What? And give Canada another team? They have over six now!

They'll probably draw better crowds in Moosejaw or Medicine Hat than they do in Arizona.

I'm glad the kid is getting flak for his behavior, but high school kids do some really stupid shiat and the law protects them accordingly.  I don't think making him a pariah for the next sixty or seventy years of his life is good for society.

He hasn't so much as personally apologized to his victim, but managed to send a letter to every NHL GM making sure they knew he was a changed man.

It would be very good for society if we stopped telling high school boys they can do whatever the hell they want with no longterm consequences.

no lie, If as an adult I ran into either of the two oppressors who pushed me around, spit on me, followed me home from school and called me a fag every day, I would probably end up with an assault charge against me; I want my revenge.

And this guy did far worse; you're 15 years old you're old enough to know that you're being a bastard. fark him.

That's a great soundbite to get the SJWs fired up but is completely unsupported by the data.  We're locking up more high school boys than ever.

What does feeding urinal juice to the developmentally disabled have to do with social justice?

I think this guy fits the definition of a sociopath pretty well, aggressive behavior, breaks the rules, no concern for the safety of others, no guilt or remorse.  Hockey doesn't need more Tom Wilson type goons skating around trying to take people's heads off for fun.

Ah the ol' "Boys will be boys" refrain. You'd think assholes making excuses for asshole kids would come up with something new by now, but apparently not

The Coyotes better have this kid in counseling and/or some diversity training with the full understanding that if he farks up one more time, the only pro league he'll be playing in will be in farking Siberia where shiat like that is accepted.

Russia will take him, if that will get them a Gold Medal.

I just had a horrible thought: If the NHL GMs let this slide as "he's changed", this could open the door for Mike Milbury and Don Cherry to come back to the air as "changed" and "lesson learned".

/Mike Milbury orders a half-dozen urinal cakes from the local Dunkin'

Wholeheartedly agree with this.  He needs to know this is his only chance and they should force him to publicly apologize to the kid.

yes and no, I have known many high school jocks that were fine upstanding people but there are always a few assholes that for one reason or another feel they are entitled to belittle those they deem beneath them like this asshat.   Sadly many of them are regarded as top athletes and are allowed to get away with this stuff or let off with a slap on the hand.

Especially in the south and in small towns virtually everywhere esp[ecially if their dad's are connected.

Hypothetically, why should "the kid" (victim) even accept a forced apology 4 years after the incidents, and 2 years after Miller was still menacing him?

I'd make Miller show up in person to make an apology, then tell him to go F himself in front of the cameras.

He had his chance to apologize after the Judge told him to at 14. At 16, he still hadn't apologized, and was still taunting the kid. Why should he get a third or fourth chance at not apologizing to the kid ?

Didn't their CEO just get appointed to the NHLs player inclusion board?

Yes, and he and the team's owner are both Latino and they're the only ones in the NHL at that level.

/Also, the scout who suggested drafting this idiot without noting the massive issues should be shiatcanned too

But Russia is a pretty bigoted country, which was my earlier point. They're anti-gay and historically have been pretty anti-disability.

Actually, the stadium in pretty awesome.  I travel (Um, "used to") a lot to Phoenix a lot for work and would usually try to schedule meetings around seeing games against teams I like.

The drive out to Glendale isn't that bad, but again, the stadium is very nice.

Tickets are cheap and it's a great way to see some great teams/players play.
