Football and Wallstreet, the two places numerology still reign.   "This is the first second Sunday of the month than an AFC game has gone into overtime, and BTW  while you're thinking on the significance of that, consider the strongest correlation between investor confidence and actual market returns in terms of inflation adjusted dividends, could be statistically significant over the course of the last 20 years.  Now watch this punt return Bill"

I can't wait for Trump to use this as evidence that this is what happens when the markets expect Biden to be elected, even though it's far more about Covid than anything else. The markets are already prepared for Biden.

I was going to make a comment on baseball, but I think you are right. I remember watching an NFL record set for number of kisses an offensive lineman made to his small child when they were about to win the Super Bowl.

The market is guaranteed to crash in January. Not because of Biden, but because Mnuchin will no longer be there to prop up the market with the Treasury.

Needs a better acronym.  CCI is too plain.  If it were something like DOA, or WTF (We're Totally Farked) is might grab attention.

It's about farking time for the stock market to fall.  Near all-time highs for the Dow during a pandemic doesn't make much sense.

It makes sense when you realize the Fed is juicing the market, and rich people will always be rich no matter the economic climate. Fixed horse race indeed

A Goldman Sachs exec will be in early
January to take over from Mnuchikin, don't you worry.

The volatility index is on track to make its highest close since freaking April, back when youtube was getting flooded with all those creepy ass videos of silent empty streets in downtown Chicago.

If we had someone in charge whose attention span exceeds a toddler's and who has the slightetst shred of awareness for the bigger picture, he'd realize that taking the pandemic seriously IS taking care of the precious stonk market.

Yeah, this is directly due to the uptick in Covid cases in the US and Europe.  You can't fix the economy without getting rid of the virus.

Trump will not go that route because it would require him to acknowledge that anyone expects Biden to win. He "knows" that the fake news media is well aware that Biden will lose but they are lying to the public about it and the markets know better which is why they rallied last week. This week they are falling because of Fake News about how he has handled something like COVID-19 or some other nonsense.
