Terrible things are going to happen in everyone's life at some point.  If you have stopped drinking for your health, your mental health, your family, your job... then drinking over this is only going to make things worse, not better.  I certainly have no intention of letting that orange A-hole derail my life further in exchange for a few hours of distraction.  If you're on the edge call somebody, hell, PM me and we can chat.

Problem is, eventually politics will check into you.

I'm abstaining for the next week. Win or lose, 11/3 will be a drinking day, in joy or in horror at the outcome.

Yup, that figures about right.

Incognito worked for me. It's just an FAQ on a bunch of different topics. Since you're active on the Pol tab, I'm guessing there isn't any new information for you.

Re: drinking. I've finally decided that I have to stop drinking after developing an allergy. I'm in my 40s so I'm guessing it's related to female hormone changes. YAY!

*fist bump* I don't have an allergy, so much as I've got that no-spleen thing going.

It has been challenging.

We'll see how next week goes...

No matter what happens, illegitimi non carborundum.

The edibles I brought back from Colorado didn't last through the campaign cycle sadly.

Picking up a bag on Friday, the immediacy of smoking will be nice for if things get stupid on Tuesday.

Q: Is voter fraud a thing?

A: It's a thing in that it is the fake thing the GOP cry about in order to hide their very real and blatant attempts to suppress the vote.

Q: Where is voter suppression happening?

A: Literally anywhere they are GOP but this fish stinks from the head down.

To be a full time conservative, you need to either beat your wife, rape your daughter or bang your cousin.

Hey it's better than White Claw or Natty Light

I've been starved of good kava since the only way we can get it in Australia since farking Howard banned commercial importation of it in 2007 is by bringing it in from abroad on your person or buying it from someone who did. And you can imagine how well that is doing this year because of the travel ban.

Good news is commercial importation is due to start up again by end of next year. Better news is our state just joined the NZ travel bubble so there's that way of getting it in.

I put in to take the third and fourth off from work for exactly this reason.

There is nothing that can happen on the night of election day that doesn't turn into me having a hangover the next day.

Unclear.

Patience is a virtue. And isn't the true purpose of election night the friends we made along the way? (No. No, it's not.)
