Is it "start drinking"?

2020-10-28 8:55:42 AM
I will have 15 months sober on 11/2. 11/3 is going to be a very long day.

2020-10-28 9:05:09 AM
I'm abstaining for the next week. Win or lose, 11/3 will be a drinking day, in joy or in horror at the outcome.

Terrible things are going to happen in everyone's life at some point.  If you have stopped drinking for your health, your mental health, your family, your job... then drinking over this is only going to make things worse, not better.  I certainly have no intention of letting that orange A-hole derail my life further in exchange for a few hours of distraction.  If you're on the edge call somebody, hell, PM me and we can chat.

If Trump wins, I'll start drinking again.

But only until I kill enough brain cells that I can pass as a conservative.

/if you can't beat them, poison your own brain until you can join them.

Came here to say that.

If Trump wins I'm probably just going to check out of politics entirely for 4 years. My mental health is not worth this shiat.

To be a full time conservative, you need to either beat your wife, rape your daughter or bang your cousin.

OKAY BUT REALLY: WHEN WILL WE KNOW WHO WON?
Unclear.

Patience is a virtue. And isn't the true purpose of election night the friends we made along the way? (No. No, it's not.)

I lol'd.

The edibles I brought back from Colorado didn't last through the campaign cycle sadly.

Picking up a bag on Friday, the immediacy of smoking will be nice for if things get stupid on Tuesday.

A good sour mix will go well with most types of hard alcohol.

Q: Is voter fraud a thing?

A: It's a thing in that it is the fake thing the GOP cry about in order to hide their very real and blatant attempts to suppress the vote.

Q: Where is voter suppression happening?

A: Literally anywhere they are GOP but this fish stinks from the head down.

Weird way to spell Rick Simpson Oil but I'll allow it

I am in this weird place; my project completes tomorrow (I'm done, just waiting for the clock to run out), I voted, the WS is over (Good Job Dodgers!), no Halloween, daughter leaves for a trip on Sunday. It's like I am in a holding pattern for a while...

I am building my vault starting Nov 4th if Trump wins. I got a space picked out in the side of a mountain here in Chicago...it's gonna be sweet! I just need a bunch of steel scraps, some nuclear material and for some reason a bunch of Coke

I don't drink wine so I haven't tried that but different types of liquor and beer affect me similarly. They're at different severities, and my guess is due to the ABV.

I put in to take the third and fourth off from work for exactly this reason.

There is nothing that can happen on the night of election day that doesn't turn into me having a hangover the next day.

I've already taken the day after election day off from work. I'm hoping that my hangover will be from champagne. But I'm open to the possibility that it'll be from bourbon.

I've been starved of good kava since the only way we can get it in Australia since farking Howard banned commercial importation of it in 2007 is by bringing it in from abroad on your person or buying it from someone who did. And you can imagine how well that is doing this year because of the travel ban.

Good news is commercial importation is due to start up again by end of next year. Better news is our state just joined the NZ travel bubble so there's that way of getting it in.
